    Standing orders for chest pain

I did ask about enzymes and the doc didn't feel it was necessary, which is unusual for that particular doctor. Our docs are usually good about ordering enzymes, particularly when we request an order for them. I later found out that patient ended up being transferred for intervention later that morning.

I took the "complete" course including the classroom review but I found the classroom review totally useless. As long as you get something that gives you access to the qtrainers and qbank, that's the important part and THAT is the part that I felt helped me the most.

www.kaplannursing.com I think you can also buy the Kaplan book at Barnes and Noble that comes with a cd.

No, you do NOT need a different review. Stick with Kaplan. Spend as much time as you can doing the qbank and qtrainers, reviewing the rationales behind the answers and go into this test knowing you CAN and you WILL pass. Kaplan is very difficult and sets the standards very high. I honestly believe Kaplan is the reason I passed NCLEX. The questions are very similar to NCLEX. I found that the questions in the other review books were too easy and don't feel that they would've prepared me for what I saw on NCLEX. Kaplan is IT! Good luck! You will do great!

I don't think you should reschedule....It just adds to the anxiety. I would go ahead and get it over with. Just keep doing the qbank and qtrainers until it's time for your test. Then go in there with the confidence that you CAN pass. I talked to a girl I graduated with the other day who never got above high 50's on Kaplan and she passed NCLEX with no problems. I think you will be fine.

Tested today 7/26 - not happy

I am sorry you you feel so horrible. I can honestly say that I know EXACTLY what you're feeling. I tested yesterday and when the computer shut off at 75 I wanted to beg the crazy thing to give me just one more chance to prove my competence. I have been a mess ever since. I'm still waiting on my results. Oh and I understand about the family thing too.....They just don't understand. My dad and dh both assumed that since I was home so early, I must have failed. My poor mom didn't know what to say yesterday. Today, she's convinced that I passed and that I will be pleasantly surprised tomorrow when I get my results. I sure hope she's right! Anyway, good luck to you!

    not 75..not 265

i know what you mean. i've heard the rare person who gets their results within 24 hrs so i've checked several times already. no results yet though i'm sure it'll be tomorrow before i know but it would be nice to know now! oh well....i guess we now know how all the others before us have felt during the aftermath of nclex. all we can do is wait & pray.

    not 75..not 265

I just wanted to wish you luck.....I took mine yesterday and I feel horrible as well. I have been driving myself nuts trying to figure out whether I think my have passed or not. We need to find a way to relax and get our minds off this test and hopefully we'll have results soon. When will you get your results? Good luck to you!

75 questions this AM and don't feel good about it....

Ya know, going into this thing, I was so naive that I really thought that if I only got 75 questions, I would be able to leave with a bit of confidence that I might have passed. However, I don't feel that way......I'm driving myself nuts because I know that I either passed with flying colors or I failed it miserably and I don't have a clue which will be the result! I go back and forth between being convinced that I MUST have failed and being convinced that SURELY I passed or the computer would have given me more questions. Like I said, I'm driving myself nuts! I need to get out of the house and do something fun with the kids and dh today to get my mind off this crazy test. I should be able to get my results tomorrow. BON actually said that Pearson posts results first and that they post them anywhere between 24-48 hrs. I'd love to find out today but after reading all the posts here, I'm fairly certain that Pearson won't post it until that 48 hr mark. Anyway, in the meantime, I pray that we BOTH get good news tomorrow

75 questions this AM and don't feel good about it....

I know what you mean.......I remember sitting there and reading question #75 and realizing that it was question # 75 and hoping that the computer didn't shut off after that one. I chose my answer....don't have a clue what the question OR the answer was now!lol......I clicked "next" and the screen went blank. My heart dropped and all I could think was "no, give me just a few more questions! I can do this.....just give me a chance!"lol....Funny thing is, I always hoped I'd be the one to get only 75 questions cuz I hate sitting in front of a computer for extended periods reading those questions....makes my head hurt and eventually, I reach a point where I can't see cuz my eyes are "crossed"! Never thought I'd be begging the computer to give me "just a few more". Anyway, I wish I could say that I feel "ok" about it but I really don't. I really feel like I missed some questions that I should have known the answer to......and now that I think about it, I DID know the answer but for some reason wasn't able to pull it out of my hat at the right time. Oh well......I guess we wait now, huh? Good luck to you! I PRAY we both passed!!!!
