Hi,
I visit this site a lot. I love it. I have a burning question for all the students who prepared with the kaplan program. I'm schedule to take my test very soon. With the kaplan program it said to score 65 or better on each of the 7 test. Test 1-3 my scores are 54-61%. The qbank scores rank from 50-80 %
guys please should i reschedule my test?
Kaplan's question trainer has 7 exams...QBank has ~1000 questions, and you can create your own exam...each exam you create is 50 questions, and you can either do it timed or tutor mode (which isnt time and you see the answer/rationales right away)..hope that helps!
to access both the kaplan question trainer and the qbank do you have to register with the kaplan website?

You have to have paid for online access; you can get the package with just the Trainers or you can get the Q-bank as well. Depends on the deal they're offering as to what the cost is. You'll need to check directly with Kaplan for that, but yes, it's on their website.
does the question trainer come with the qbank? and is the kaplan question trainer for RN's only?
No, they are separate. I had an all-inclusive package through the college for $399 that had everything; some classmates got an option where they wound up paying an extra $70 for the Q-bank because they didn't get 'the deal'.
As for whether there's a PN package, I have no idea! I've only seen it for RNs, but I'd think a read-through on the Kaplan site (or calling Kaplan 1-800-kaptest) would do it :)
Did you get the Qbank& question trainer? I am still reading from here which one to go for my self review.
I had both the Qbank and question trainer. I did a deal thru the school where I got the classroom, course book, and Qbank & Question trainers all for $379. I did all the questions in the Qbank, the first 5 questions trainers, half of the 6th trainer, and nothing of the 7th. I also did about 50 questions from Lippincott, 700 from Mosby, and 1,000 from Saunders. Kaplan was the best, but the others helped me with my content, like Addisons, Cushings, and Graves disease. :)
I took kaplan and recently took my nclex and did not pass. I would get high 60s low 70s on each of them, and I actually did the best on question trainer 6 and 7. But the tree did not help me, I would tryyyyyy to use it and it seemed it rarely ever worked. I know the content I did well in school. I know kaplan offers and refund or is the refund to retake the course without repaying? Were you all able to use the tree??? I am in northern california so not sure if all kaplan's use "decision tree," thanks.
After reading the posts on Kaplan here I felt 100% better. I have been so depressed. I have been getting the following grades with Kaplan:
Question Trainers
1-52%
2-61%
3-60%
4-53%
5-52%
6-64%
QBank
55%
57%
58%
80%
54%
42%
62%
57%
50%
50%
62%
On my diagnostic test I got a 62% & on the readiness test I got a 64%. And a lot of my friends told me to leave kaplan alone & try something different. Right now I am in the process of doing Saunders & to tell you the truth my grades aren't much better. I am hoping to do Suzanne's plan. The Kaplan instructor I had told me you need to get at least 70% on all the QTrainer & QBank tests. I figure my grades were ridiculous!
