June 2008 NCLEX support group

Published

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Thanks!

Is suzzane's tips available to everyone?????

Yes, and free. However, you have to have the 45 days before your NCLEX to follow the full plan. The link I supplied earlier gives details, along with the 1st step of the plan.

Good luck tomorrow!!!

I know in my state the Friday tests are often available on Sunday morning and I have heard people from other states on this board state they got theirs on the weekend as well.

Thanks, Amber07. I hope my state posts results on the weekend. Waiting four days would be torture!

Good luck!! I originally picked an 8 AM over a 10 AM because I didn't want to wait the weekend.

I'm so glad I got move mine up a week AND make a 10 AM appt on a Wednesday!

I hope you do get your results during the weekend! If not...start a new hobby this weekend...get your mind off of the test as much as possible! :)

So is it 48 hours from when you take the test? I took mine at 0800 yesterday and can't stand the wait. I keep trying to think positive, but the pessimistict bug keep over taking my brain. Don't know if I can make it. I really feel sorry for my husband having to put up with me, poor guy!

Took the test at 8am this morning!! I think half my test was SATA's!!:banghead:

Cut off at 75 though, so that good be really good or really bad! A girl in my class tested Monday and said she got a ton of those too and passed, so hopefully the same works for me! Congrats to all those that have passed!!

I think that the 48 hours is the "general rule" if your state participates in quick results through Pearson. However, not all states do. Some states also appear to be faster at posting your license number and active status on the BON. When I registered with my state licensing department I asked them about this. They told me that depending on their work load the quick results could be up between 24-72 hours.

One of my nursing school friends has a daily planner that has a quote for each day of the week and I thought it was interesting that the quote on my test day says the following:

"All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursure them"

- Walt Disney

Just wanted to share with you all because we CAN and WILL pass this test! We all had the courage to attend and pursue nursing school and our dreams WILL come true by passing this test!

I have 9 days until test day, so I'm hard at the books for the next week straight! I know I have said it many times before, but GOOD LUCK to ALL! :D Everyone is in my prayers!! :saint:

On Wednesday, when I took the NCLEX-RN my horoscope said

"Prosperity is just around th corner, if it is not here already. All your efforts are about to pay off and pay off in a big way."

I just thought how appropriate for testing day. I won't know until tomorrow how accurate it is...but I hope it is right on!

my state board keeps giving me a timeout error... ugg

I will be taking my next week June 18th, I just don't have the energy to study any longer:icon_roll, I just want to get done with. All my friends are passing and I am so pround of them. Everybody keep telling me that there is no way to study for this freaking test:angryfire!! and that I should just relax and think positive and I will be fine:bugeyes:!! I am doing Kaplan I only have about 300 questions to finish and so far I am doing good on Kaplan, but I have a friend that told me that the test is very different then Kaplan!! Any imput on this fact!! I am planning to get a massage the day before the test to help me to relax, and my doctor prescribed Xanax 0.25mg for my test anxiety:confused: but I will not be taking because I will be sleepy!! Thank you for this forum so I can express my fellings here, my friends are tired of my crying and going crazy:banghead: on them hahahha!!

IMO, kaplan questions were similar to NCLEX questions, but hey who knows different strokes for different folks. I used Kaplan for practice questions and Saunders 4th edition for content and Thank GOd I passed with 75 questions.

Continue to think positive

You are in my prayers

So I took the NCLEX yesterday and I have 35 select all that apply...thats 35 out of only 75 questions...so im sure i didnt pass because those questions are impossible...:(

My friend had 30 SATA and it stopped at 75 and she PASSED, so continue to think positive. As a matter of fact alot of my classmates had 30 SATA and passed so think positive.

Oh yeah and for anybody that had quite a few math questions or none at all. some say math questions are a bad sign, well I had 8 math questions and passed with 75, so don't believe that.

Think positive and I am sure you did just fine.

Does anyone know how long it takes in indiana for results to show up? I took my boards at 8 am this morning and it shut of at 75 questions. I had 4 math questions and 14 SATA so I am freaking out. My stomach is so upset.:scrying:
