June 2008 NCLEX support group

Published

This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.

To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.

Thanks!

Count me in! I test June 23.

Congrats to those that have passed! Good luck to those still waiting for results or to test.

I am soooooooo sorry to hear that news. My heart just aches for you!!! You are still in my prayers both that you are able to get through this and come out stronger on the other side.. and of coorifice that your results next time a vastly different from this time. I am sending my hugs and wish you well... This is such a hard thing to have to go through and I would never wish that pain on anyone...

Hugs!

Congratulations!!! ....LPNut to RNut?

I decided to do something different. (name change) Since I will be working in Charlottesville at UVA I went with WahooRN08. It feels so good. Good luck to all of you...you can do it!!!!!!!!! I am going to party like crazy with my best friend in Charleston, SC. Enjoy yourselves! You can do it! :yeah::yeah:

I took my nclex today.

I had 75 questions.

20-25 SATA. (and I absolutely hate those!)

2 math.

15 priority

1 delegation

can't remember the rest.

When I got to the 70's I started to panic. On the 75th question it turned off. I was relieved that I didn't have to do any more questions, but because nervous because that was all the chance I got to show my worth. I think I may have had a panic attack if it had went any further. It took me a little over an hour to take it.

I feel like I knew the answers to alot of them. Didn't know the answers at all the a few of them. And felt I was pretty sure on the majority that are left.

I'm telling myself that SATA are harder (level 3) questions and it means that it knew I have the minimum competence with the minimum number of questions.

I know the results won't be there yet, but I can't get the Georgia Board of Nursing website to work to show results. It keeps timing out or something weird. Anyone else having any issues like this.

Here's hoping for the best! I keep telling myself that my school has a 94% pass rate, so out of 104 of us, surely I will pass the first time!

keep your fingers crossed for me!

Best of luck! I will be keeping my fingers crossed for you and thinking positive thoughts! :heartbeat

I will be taking my next week June 18th, I just don't have the energy to study any longer:icon_roll, I just want to get done with. All my friends are passing and I am so pround of them. Everybody keep telling me that there is no way to study for this freaking test:angryfire!! and that I should just relax and think positive and I will be fine:bugeyes:!! I am doing Kaplan I only have about 300 questions to finish and so far I am doing good on Kaplan, but I have a friend that told me that the test is very different then Kaplan!! Any imput on this fact!! I am planning to get a massage the day before the test to help me to relax, and my doctor prescribed Xanax 0.25mg for my test anxiety:confused: but I will not be taking because I will be sleepy!! Thank you for this forum so I can express my fellings here, my friends are tired of my crying and going crazy:banghead: on them hahahha!!

Well tomorrow is the day for me. At this time tomorrrow I will be walking into the testing center getting ready to take the test. As I sit here and think about it...I feel my stomach in my throat. I am going to do just a bit more studying of questions today and thats it. Just to keep my stress at bay. Then tonight, I am taking 2 Tylenol Pms early, so I can sleep. (Crossing my fingers, hoping that it will actually work) I know everyone says to relax the day before, but that is easier said then done. I live a little over an hour away from the testing center, so I am having my husband drive me down there in the morning. He can go shopping at the mall or something while I test. Then when I am done, he is taking me out to lunch and then maybe go look at some boats...I so want a new one..lol. I am planning for 265 questions but secretly hoping for 75. I am scared, but I keep saying to myself, that I CAN DO THIS. I have never failed a test before and this is just a test. (yeah right) :p

Keep positive, and just take a deep breath (and pray!)

If you feel yourself getting worked up during the exam, stop, take another deep breath, and gather your senses before continuing on.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Best of luck to you and to all taking their NCLEX tomorrow!!

During the exam TAKE A BREAK if you need it. The people at my testing center said you could take a break whenever you needed to just by raising your hand

When I went to take I felt like I was going to throw up. :barf02:Actually I felt that way all day the day before and after while I was waiting for my results! Just remember that you've done the best you can, you've studied hard and you have the knowledge. You will get through this, this too shall pass.

Good Luck to all people testing soon!

So I took the NCLEX yesterday and I have 35 select all that apply...thats 35 out of only 75 questions...so im sure i didnt pass because those questions are impossible...:(
