This thread is for any upcoming graduates taking NCLEX in June of 2008.
To start off with I would love to hear if anyone is taking Kaplan, or Drexel or other prep courses and why did you choose the one you did? I am looking into them and I am just not sure which one is best and why.
Thanks!
I took mine this morning (yesterday now) at 8am - 75 questions with shut off.... felt awful about it!!!! Alot of med calcs and they got hard! I just do not feel good about it and have to place my faith in God, bc if I did pass it was all Him! I graduated from a school with a 98% passage rate with honors and was at a 98% prediction of passing the first time on the ATIs... I took the Drexel course this past week ans did well on all their questions...
got to the exam and felt I was getting beat with a bat!!! It took me 90 mins to do 75 Qs and I never take that long.... I was soooo unsure of soooo many... the only questions I think I did well on were the med calcs.... I don't know if I can bear it waiting to see if I passed!!!!!! I am dying... cant hardly eat.... crying alot... i start my job monday and I will be a wreck!!!! if i fail i disappoint my husband, my kids, my family, my friends, my school....myself!!!! I am a wreck!!! Pray for me.... I need it.... I am working on faith now and have to wait until Monday or Tue for results in PA... did I say the test SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!
Arrrrrgggghhhhh!!!

Travel soon- I too just finished the Kaplan course. I didn't feel too great, especially after I did worse on the readiness test than on the diagnostic test. Took the Qtrainer 1, got in the 50's (I don't remember exactly). I had been working on notecards, and I knew I needed to finish them, so I did that, read through them; went and took Qtrainer 2 and improved! Got a 65%. Now, granted I have not gotten to the harder Qtrainers, but I am going to keep going over my notecards I have made then take the Qtrainers and do the Qbank questions also. I realize you are pressed for time since you only have 2 weeks, but maybe just the content you know you need refreshing in, make some notecards. I have about 4 more weeks til I take mine-July 7th. Good Luck!
LadyTiger,
I appreciate your help, I am not the best at sitting down with a book. I usually don't mind doing some questions on the comp. but I usually only do 25-40 at a time then I am getting antzy. I know when it comes down to NCLEX I won't have a problem sitting there long enough to test. ha-ha. I want those new license.
Today is my final day for studies anyway as I start full time in the A.M. Mon-Friday, then at 8:00 am on Sat. the 14th I will show the KBN that I do deserve to have that RN title. Thanks to everyone for their support and good luck to us all.:redbeathe
