Jill Biden, ED.D.

A couple of my friends have been putting Dr. Biden down.  They say her doctorate isn't really worth much, she should not be called "doctor" because she is not an MD, only MD's should be called "doctor", her work to earn the doctorate wasn't really worthy of earning the degree, and the like.

I say she earned it, she can proudly and rightfully call herself "doctor".

What say ye?

She holds a doctoral degree, and, therefore, she has earned the title of doctor.  As long as she isn't presenting herself as a medical doctor, I don't see the problem. Her title is academic, not clinical.

LOL, that goes to show how little I know about this person.  Nor do I care. For some reason I'm actually posting about the fact that this woman's educational status has zero effect upon my life until I just wasted time posting on this thread.

However, most college professors that I know don't refer to their title outside of professional situations and she really should be be knowns as First Lady Jill Biden.  But I don't understand the big deal.  It's for us to decide as individuals who we choose to be referred to.  If she chooses to ask you to call her Dr. BIden, so then is it that hard to do?  

 I work with a nurse that always calls her self "Miss Smith" (not her real name) instead of her first name.  Who am I to argue?

She has an earned Doctorate Degree....not easy to achieve....in  fact VERY hard to achieve.  Do YOU have one?  I If you want a dumbed down First Lady look for the one who had to get attention taking off her clothes, Having a platform that only had 2 words "Be Best". And her step daughter who will soon be taken off her clothes for Playboy....Hey it's $$$$ since I can't get a grifter salary anymore.

How is a doctorate in education not worth much if you value medical doctors, who need people who are doctorates in education to educate med school professors? Anyway, everyone already knows she is not a medical doctor. Do they have this problem with other professors? Are they even educated enough to know that professors with doctorates are called doctor?

What do your friends call their dentist, optometrist, osteopath, vet or reverend? LOL.

I apologize for omitting the part that said your friends do not think the First Lady should use the title of Dr. I did not mean to infer that you were putting her down. I made a mistake and I am sorry.
