This is a forum for those who are applying to EVC's nursing program in 2024 in both fall and Spring (2025) semester. It has been a wait, and it would be great hearing from other students who are applying as well about their journey to entering a nursing program and share advice while going through this process. We are here to uplift each other and make the overall competitive nature more inclusive!
So from what I know, it may take a month and a half to hear back from EVC (straight from the horse's mouth). Many applicants I've heard from previous cohorts have gotten in with surprisingly not as high scores. Many I hear have been getting especially off of the waitlist.
About me. I am a volunteer at a local hospital in the bay area (+300 hours). My overall score on the application was an 83 and my TEAS score is 88

Hi,
This will be my second time applying to EVC. I took Pathophysiology, Pharmacology, and scored higher on the TEAS to boost my score. I also obtained my AA. Hopefully it helped.
My overall score on the application is 80 points and I also got an 88 on the TEAS. I've been a medical assistant for about five years now.
Best of luck to us!

Hi! This is my first time applying to EVC. I have a BA in psych. I've worked as an ambulance coordinator for 20 years. Don't have the greatest scores but I'm still hoping! 75 multicriteria score and 84% on the TEAS. Thank you for making this thread, and good luck to all!

It surprised me how many points those two courses actually to provided to boost our scores. The courseload was so long but imo totally worth it! I'm curious to know what was your score the first time you applied to evc?

20 years is AMAZING! And hey you took the big step to apply and that is what matters! I've read on other forums like this where they were accepted with a 68 or 70. So hopefully that is the case this time around?

I had 63 points when I applied for Fall 2022/Spring 2023 and the rejection e-mail said that alternates had 64 and higher. The top 80 highest scoring applicants had 69 and higher. I wonder if anybody knows what the cutoff points were for last year?
I agree definitely worth it.

I'm also waiting to find out if I got in. I applied with about 75 points.
I see movement with my app. No update on admission but it does show it was last edited today. Has anyone heard anything?

Hi!
I think 75 points is great! I have also been checking for activity on my app. So far they've edited it twice and the last time was 2/28 for me. I have not heard anything yet though.
