Ditto--What is it?
They invited me to take a 16 day trip to South Africa to see how the medical community is working with people affected by HIV/AIDS.

I received the same thing today. It costs 4480 dollars in "tuition" to go. It was from the National Dean's List people.
I do not want to spend that type of money( if I had it) to go to South Africa. It may be legit but no thanks!

Mine was like that also, I am 33! My husband has received several things in the mail about school loans and stuff for his college daughter! Hehe!
It sounded interesting until I saw that $4500 price tag! Yeah, us struggling college "kids" can really afford that. No wonder it was addressed to the parents of........

I rec'd this invitation to go on the South Africa trip two days ago. My mother and sister-n-law want me to go. They are going to take care of the boys and fund the trip for me. My husband has been in Afghanistan since July of this year and will not return until July, 2005 and they think I need to get away.
Even still, I am not sure what to do. I called them and found out that this is the first time that they have done this with nursing students. They provide these trips for MD students, engineer students, etc. They said that most of the students will be in their early 20's and I am 35, so there is a big gap there, not that this is a big deal. I can pretty much get along with anybody. I just do not like to fly that much even though I will. I really just do not know what to do....
Is anyone considering going on the trip? If you are, get in touch with me, I would really like to get to know someone that I can pal up with.
Thanks,
