Just for fun, if you were to choose a career other than nursing what would it be and why?

Veterinarian if I had it to do all over again. Lawyer or scientist would be okay too. I really wish I would have been a veterinarian though.

ohhh maybe also air traffic control! 0: I think you only need an associate degree and some training and the pay in the six figure range. Lots of responsibilities though!

Some line of cooking, possibly pastries and desserts. Something in applied arts, like costume and prop work for plays or TV/film ? I actually did an elective course in art, and it was tough but I loved it :) but not imaginative enough and not talented enough to be an original artist

Probably would have been a teacher. This is probably why I took a school nursing assignment not long after starting.

In high school I'd wanted to be an Air Force fighter jet pilot (two problems--my eyesight is 20/200 and I'm a female so I couldn't fly fighters 20 years ago) then I wanted to be a screenwriter. I'd actually researched and found a college in Orlando that had that program and had their internships at Universal Studios. I was afraid to leave home, so I worked in medical billing before nursing, but the screenwriting or an English teacher were my dream jobs. Since I've been in nursing, if I had to leave I'd either do the writing thing (medical dramas are big but none really focus on nursing) or a medical exmainer/forensic tech. Pts can't argue with you!
