Yep! Quit the job today! Worked half a day, and quit. Won't get into the specifics because I'm suing the hospital, and won't stop there. I'll be on Dr. Phil telling the world about the pains of being a nurse today, and writing every political head that is involved with healthcare making sure they are brought up to date on the pains of nursing as well. I have a strong voice, and I intend to use it for my profession.
Going back to travel nursing, starting with seeking a travel contract in my hometown, then elsewhere. No more BS from those who love to strangle the shick out of nurses today.
Going on vacation for a few days before I get started with the lawsuit. I believe in standing up for what I believe in even if no one else believes what I believe. That is their choice to disagree, and my choice to pursue what I believe to be justice for myself as a professional nurse.
I'm going to make the world hear what is wrong with nursing today if it is the last thing I take on in my life.
You guys and gals are the greatest buds ever! What I like about this website is we know each other by "heart, gut, and soul" and what we look like in the physical isn't the rubber that meets the road here at Allnurses. I can't say "Thank you, Brian" enough for birthing this website for All Nurses. :kiss
It's going on midnight where I live, and time for me to get some sleep as my vacation begins tomorrow with my DH. He is my stronghold right now........well, God is always my stronghold, but DH is next in line.
My DH has made this experience calming and he is very accepting of the decision I made to leave that job that was trying its best to turn me into something I am NOT!
I have every intention of following up on the problems I encountered at my OLD place of employment ...feels good to say that.......the lawyer will let me know the pros and cons of the lawsuit I so desperately want to pursue as I have been wronged from every aspect possible. Still waiting on my ONE and ONLY TRUE Manager (God Himself) to direct my steps with this one as I do NOT need any additional pain and stress in my life.
Don't you nurses around the United States worry about a thing because this "self-made politician" is going to bring the pain of being a nurse in todays corporations to light if it is the last thing I ever do on this great planet Earth.
I'll be back in a couple days before I take off again for another out of state adventure with DH, so will get to "e-chat" with you all then. May your upcoming week be filled with many blessings and positive gifts. ((((((hugs)))))) :kiss

Wow! Guess I'll have to add them to my list of places to call too! Dr. Phil is my FIRST choice though because he is a professional doc and understands human behavior like no human being I've ever met. I totally dig the man, and hope he'll be receptive to having an audience of all nurses who can FINALLY have their "day in court" so to speak for all the world to hear.
Nighty night sibs! :kiss
Hey Ruby..........you and me both girlfriend! :roll :chuckle
Oh what a relief it is, oh what a relief it is, oh what a......
Sorry, got caught up in the moment.
Hubby and I are leaving on one of two out of state trips in about 20 minutes, and while he is still getting dressed, I wanted to stop by my old hangout (allnurses) and wish everyone a great day, and ask for your positive thoughts and prayers for traveling mercies to and from our destinations.
By the time this vacation is over, me and my electric Smith Corona (that's a typewriter for those of you who think Smith Corona is a new beer or something) Anyhoo, we will be putting the truth to print and circulating it throughout the media, writing Dr. Phil, 60 Minutes, Dateline, etc. etc.
Well, time to travel. :kiss
Old Cheerfuldoer at your service!
(((((((Renee))))))) I'm sooo happy for you because you are doing what you feel best and what our heavenly father has guided you to do. I wish you the best in everything that is coming up. You are going to be on Dr. Phil too huh. I am still trying to get on that show but for other things.
Thanks Renerian, Jnette, and Tonya :kiss Life is better since I laid down that huge burden of a so called job that acted more like a prison sentence for me. I STILL have NO regrets for quitting that nightmare of a job.
I will miss the human contact of those I hold dear there for I worked with a great staff with the exception of a few that I won't mention due to my pending litigations against certain individuals there.
Hubby is very supportive, and keeps saying to me how glad he is that I no longer have to be abused by certain ones on that job. He wants me to take as much time off as I need to before starting back to work, and doesn't care what job I do as long as it brings me contentment. He says to me "I've got your back, Babe." Awwwwwwww...isn't he the sweetest! I'll say Amen to that! :kiss
We just got home from our first of two trips, and leave tomorrow for our second trip. We're looking at property to buy for settling down next Spring when he is done with his overseas assignment.
I'm sooooooo looking forward to that time.
I have so so much to be thankful and blessed for in my life. I have much to give back to those causes that are deeply affecting the lives of others who do not have a strong voice such as I, and I intend to exercise the gift of my voice as long as I live...with my Father God at the forefront of it all for it is HE who guideth the steps of my life. :)

Renee, please be very, very careful. It's been 4 years for me of pure T hades trying to bring suit......they have the $, the power, and the propaganda. They will skew you over.
Make sure you have an EXCELLENT attorney. I have been beaten down with delays, writs, depositions......I wish you the best of luck though.
When do we see you on Dateline and 60 minutes!
