Something happened to me at Wednesday that i thought i would never hear.
I was told by my team leader that bouncing breasts are very inappropriate in the workplace.
There had been several complains on me for a long time (she claims).
And that i from now on, always had to use a bra.
Was she right to correct me like that, should i complain on her ?
I think it was Tim Gunn's Guide to Style or some similar fashion show I was watching and there was a woman who had been wearing the wrong size bra throughout her entire adult life and never had a professional bra fitting. Afterwards, there was a world of difference for her in both comfort and style. I would think that if wearing one caused such discomfort that a fitting may be in order!Of course, I have no experience personally with this issue, but as a gay man I've definitely noticed some type of relationship between the level of the breasts and a woman's age. So get some support and erase years off your appearance!! (I am just kidding!!!....kind of...don't flame me! LOL)
No flames - it is true.
I didn't grow up in this little town but my husband did and it is interesting to note his description of people I've met as adults but never knew as kids. One woman's breasts hang to her belly button and they are huge. If she is wearing a bra - it it ill fitting. My dh says she was the first to get breasts in high school and very popular with the boys. Of course - time changes things.
I'd rather be small and not have that hanging problem later in life.
steph
My reason for not wearing one, is that i get very easy shoulder painfrom the bra straps
. It's not to get attention !
Sorry, I'm coming into this kinda late.
If you are having shoulder pain from bra's, then please go to a store they can size you for the right fitting bra. Alot of women don't wear the right size and it can cause shoulder pain. Also, try to find something with a padded strap, that helps a bunch.
Wow, interesting thread... I am a very small 32B (try finding that size, probably just as hard as the really large ones), and I always wear a bra when I am out, at work I also wear a tank top under my scrubs so you don't get any sneak peaks when I bend over. Bras aren't always comfortable, especially when worn for 12 to 16 hours, but I will never understand how some women don't wear them. I have a friend who is good size (36B) and she has never worn a bra a day in her life...she is only 30 and her boobs sag like an old woman...oh, and not that it matters, but she is in med school.
As far as the whale tales, I see that quite often at work. Many of the younger girls wear scrubs that are too small/tops too short, and you see everything when they bend over! Very inappropriate I think. and I don't mind thongs, but think they would get extremely uncomfortable at a job where you are doing physical things contantly, bending, lifting, running around. Make a fashion statement outside of work, be comfortable and wear whatevery the heck you like on your own time, but at work (no matter what your profession), look professional. Make sure to cover all your bits and pieces.

No flames here Reno, but since you are still "young" I think I should break it to you that as anyone who has worked geriatrics can tell you, boobs aren't the only things that "head south" with the effects of age and gravity! Another good reason guys may want to think twice about "going commando"!
sigh...
the sexist comments are getting old.
let me tell you something, men/guys.
a real woman can eminate total sexuality/sexiness, and it ain't got nothin' to do w/her boobs.
my boobs have never, ever defined who i am, except in motherhood.
they were used for nursing only.
and i've never dressed in a way to either emphasize or de-emphasize.
but still, did pretty darned well for myself.
boobs?
you can have 'em.

Is this post a joke. Seriously. I know some like to go braless @ home but @ work come on. If you are not comfortable or your beliefs do not permit such undergarments at least wear some kind of undershirt with support.
