I got reprimanded at work for not using a bra !

Something happened to me at Wednesday that i thought i would never hear.

I was told by my team leader that bouncing breasts are very inappropriate in the workplace.

There had been several complains on me for a long time (she claims).

And that i from now on, always had to use a bra.

Was she right to correct me like that, should i complain on her ?

When I was the nurse educator for a pediatric surgical unit, I had to review "proper attire" at each orientation session. You wouldn't believe the questions! My favourite...."what is considered appropriate?".

OMG if you have to ask.....

So I told them that they needed to be able to bend over and touch their toes and then stand up and raise their arms above their heads without any skin showing or body parts flopping out. That's appropriate.

To answer the OP question....YES WEAR A BRA and YES your employer can call you on it.

If bra straps hurt your shoulders, I'd suggest trying a smaller band and a larger cup size. You want the bulk of the weight to be supported by the band that spans your chest, NOT your shoulders. I find that the "add 4 inches" rule to your band measurement doesn't really apply with those of us with larger boobs. I "officially" measure at a 36D, but 34DDs are much more comfortable and supportive (albiet harder to find).

So get professionally fitted, but try on some sizes around what they fit you as. Once you have a bra style and size that is comfortable, you can google the bra name and size and probably find it online for less than you would in the store.

I was told, btw, that handwashing makes the bras last longer.

I just love my 24 hour bras. My boobs really can feel floppy without a quality bra. I can't imagine a DD size, that must be terribly uncomfortable.

I'm so glad I'm a B, it's the perfect size!

Actually not really because I invest in good fitting bras. And I guess I am just used to them.

I think it was Tim Gunn's Guide to Style or some similar fashion show I was watching and there was a woman who had been wearing the wrong size bra throughout her entire adult life and never had a professional bra fitting. Afterwards, there was a world of difference for her in both comfort and style. I would think that if wearing one caused such discomfort that a fitting may be in order!

Of course, I have no experience personally with this issue, but as a gay man I've definitely noticed some type of relationship between the level of the breasts and a woman's age. So get some support and erase years off your appearance!! (I am just kidding!!!....kind of...don't flame me! LOL)
