Pity you aren't in the UK as I think this could be taken to a Tribunal and would be classed as unfair dismissal.

It is my opinion that peoples health (no matter what their standing) is private unless they wish to share the information. In this case I see no reason why the CEO of Apple should have to reveal and discuss something that is obviously causing him some distress. I wonder that the journalist hasn't turned the thought round and wondered how he/she would feel if it was their health that was being bandied about.

LOL! I have to say, all of the guy comments on here, even the humerous ones, have been remarkably restrained, considering the topic. I didn't find the comments sexist, per se. Most straight guys love the ol' mammaries. Starts when they're babies and lasts until they're 100. Knowing that I have made a difference. Unfortunately, in this day and age, it seems that we are fighting beaurocracy in order to treat our patients as people and not some annoyance that has to be shipped out as fast as possible.

Personally I think that I would have rung the doc and asked him if there was anything that he wanted to do as the patients K was 2.6. He could then say that he knew about it or not, but I would rather be shouted at than leave a problem that serious for five hours.

I agree. We also list ALL allergies as this might show a latent allergy related to an existing one. The Dr should have been more specific in his request, but he sounds a bit of a ditz.

Don't understand why they would give you the "look". It's a well documented phenomenon - lots of asthmatics can be allergic to NSAIDS. Here in the UK, Drs will not prescribe NSAIDS if the patient has a history of Asthma, that is unless they have taken them before with no problems
