You don't get your money back, you just get to retake the class for free.

Wrong!!! you have the choice to retake the class again for free OR get your money back. im 200% sure on this one.

Hi La'Monique, You will pass this test and become a great nurse soon! I believe you are focusing too much in the "passing" of this test than is intended purpose which is to know "how sound your nursing judgement is, and how developed are your critical thinking skills. Nothing more".

Guys I want to pass I will test soon......thank u and I might seem desperate but that's b/c I am

If it's convenient for you, you may want to go to the Director of the nursing program where you attended school. They should be able to help you. They may have a refresher course that you take. After all, if you've failed NCLEX (especially more than once), the school's passing rate is affected. Good luck to you.:)

My entire class and myself used this and we had 100% pass rate. First you take an NCLEX style test and it tells you your weak areas, its then gives you study guides and more questions, it really prepared me. And its not very expensive. I think I paid $56 for three week access. Its worth a try. And try not to feel bad, you might have severe test anxiety.

La'Monique,

I want to come at this from a different point of view. If you went through your LPN program and passed all of your classes, then you have what it takes to be a nurse...you HAVE the knowlege. You are just having trouble with the darn exam. I bet if someone sat down in a room with you and asked you what to do on all of those questions, just talking with you, you would know the correct answers. The more you give "power" to this test-the more it is going to body slam you.

Now--stop giving it that power. Right now...I was and still am a very good test taker...not because I am so smart...but because every time I have to take a big test..like the NCLEX...I would "psych" myself up for weeks before by telling myself that I obviously Know the material because I passed all of the classes. I actually did not even study for the NCLEX only because I was afraid that it would confuse me.

My suggestion would be, can you find someone who can work with you on relaxation? Either a psychologist or someone who does meditation or light hypnosis? You need to get over the psychological stumbling block you have now...it's like 100 feet tall. I can hear the panic in your voice just reading your post.

I think taking a course is fine...but working on getting over this phobia would be more useful I think.

That is what has worked for me for many years.

Good luck, honey.:heartbeat

I agree with the other posters.. your problem has to be in figuring out how to answer the questions. While I was studying for the NCLEX-PN a few years ago, I just happened to come across a book that had little review of material (at first I was a little peeved), but MUCH more on how to really understand the question. It totally saved me, and I still apply the same approach for the exams now in my ADN program.

I believe this was the one I had, I sold mine a while ago:

Obviously look for the edition you need.

Good luck!!!!!

I am not a LPN but I would suggest:

1. Saunders NCLEX PN study guide and a Q and A book/CD. Answer 85 questions a day and see how many you get right.make sure you read the rationale for the answers.

2. Test taking strategies book.

3. Review any weak areas that you may have. These books can be found cheap on Amazon.com.I'm not sure how the PN test is set up but the RN test focuses on priority. I would think about what's more critical. Remember just answer questions to get in the habit of picking the best answer. Saunders is, in my opinion, the best book.

I agree with using Saunders, and just doing tons of questions. I think the NCLEX (either RN or PN) is more about knowing how to answer the questions - because you're not going to be able to memorize everything. Best of luck to you - you CAN do this. :redpinkhe

I really feel for you and what you going through, i think you need to calm down and don't let your nerves get the best of you.You know this stuff, i know you get panaroid about failing again thats why you can't relax to pass this exam. Why not try learning extention? its $50 for three weeks and It's the same people responsible for setting the Nclex examination, Goodluck and God bless. Let me know if you have anymore questions.
