If memory serve me right psy 101 is basically history, a lot of theories and experiments with a few terms thrown in. Basically its remembering a lot of odd fact you may or may not have ever heard of before. I took psy 105 (our version of 101) about 8 years ago so that my not be accurate. But psych 101 is a foundation class so it tends to cover psychology subjects from all over the field. How hard the class is will depend on you. If you find this stuff interesting you will have an easier time, if not you may have trouble. What is Bio 109? Micro?

I am also taking PSY 101 online through my community college...good luck to you I am sure you will do fine. For online classes to be successful you really need to have strong time management skills. A bit of advice for online courses is stay motivated, read the chapters, stay active in the forums and make sure you never wait till the last minute to complete assignments.

PSY 101 was really easy for me online. I am a single mom, full time student, as well as a full time employee and i got an A+ in the class. Its nice because you can use your book and internet when taking quizzes or exams! I would recommend looking up the professor on ratemyprofessor and see their reviews first.

I took it online and it was one of the easiest classes, ever. I did my entire A.S. online and as long as you are organized, manage your time well, do all the required assignments/discussions and don't fall behind, you should do fine.

Good luck!

The only thing I can add is that when I took Psych our Professor told us that her online class had a lot more work to do than we did. I talked to some people that confirmed this was true. We had to do a project and write a paper along with our regular assignments and exams, but I think the online componant class had something due every week.

I think it would be an easy A. Like an earlier poster said it is just history and a bunch of terms. It is an interesting class and it shouldn't take too much of your time.

Took it online last semester and it was really easy. I also had a really easy professor though. We have to answer 2 short answer questions from the reading per week, and a 50 question test every other week (open book, of course). No papers, no discussion boards. Usually online classes aren't quite that easy but the content isn't exactly rocket science and it's interesting enough to keep your attention. It's an easy A.

I'm taking psych 101 this semester...and was told something was due every week. I'm re-taking Anatomy and working noc shift at the hospital. I guess, I'll see how it goes.

I took psychology (not online though), and while I wouldn't say that it was "hard", it included a lot of memorization and reading. If I managed to get an A, then so can you!

I am also taking psy 101 online starting tomorrow!
