All my friends are RNs

I've noticed that I really don't have any close, non-nurse friends. All my friends are RNs.

Over the years, here and there, I've befriended fellow nurses in various units.

I'm not opposed to being friends with non nurses, but that's the way it's gone. All my friends are nurses.

My friends are all either nurses, social workers or physicians with the exception of a few left over from my early 20s who aren't in healthcare.

YOU all are my friends. You are nurses. My OLD work girls? They are nurses or MAs. My RL friends? Mostly teachers. My best girl in the hood is a DPT. My BFF for life is a medical biller.

Yet, when I meet another nurse...

Interesting. If you saw the people I hang around with, you definitely wouldn't think I am a nurse. You would probably be in "hide your wife, hide your kids" mode.

i am older and have had different careers, so I have friends from grade school to nursing and whole lot of others in between :) Love them all!!!!!

I'd say a good majority are nurses... My closest friends are a psych nurse, lawyer and a teacher but the rest are basically nurses... Which is probably a good thing as they don't judge/ tell me I'm a sicko when I start talking about poop, pee, blood or mucus at the dinner table 😂

No friends at all? Bummer, I can't imagine getting through this difficult life and career without friends to text snarky comments to, share a bite to eat and some laughs.

Most of my friends are NOT nurses. I stay in touch with one friend from nursing school and hang out with a few others from time to time but, by and large, I am usually the only nurse at any particular social function.

Wow, really? I'm fairly introverted and reserved and don't need a ton of friends. But yeah, it's great to have a few really close friends who can be there for each other.

That said, none of my close friends are nurses. I have a couple of close friends from childhood and the rest are friends I met through my husband, Mr. Social Chairman. I always joke that when my DH dies, there will be 2500 people there. When I die, there will be 2510 people there: 10 of my friends, and 2500 there to support my DH. :)
