For Fun--Kudos 2 Me...The "toot your own horn" thread

Published

Hi, anyone want to brag a bit? After all, I think we deserve it.

I thought it would be fun to share some of our victories and things we think we should be patted on the back for.

Here's mine....I passed my first skills test this week and got a 100 on our first quiz in Fundamentals which I am soooo proud of because, as everyone knows, nursing tests are different than any other tests, you have to learn to think differently. You have to learn to think like a nurse, and WOOHOO, I DID IT!

i saw my first ever births today! a normal lady partsl delivery and a c section! i didnt pass out! victory! :D

I have 5 clinical days left for my entire RN program and I keep showing up. That is good enough for me at this point. 38 days and counting before graduation. LOL

I pulled off a 4.0 this semester in my BSN program. I am a wife, mom of two and work 45-50 hrs per month, and commute an hour each way to school. It felt good inside when my classmates, the single ones who live near campus, complained about their grades and barely getting by... It's all about how bad you want it!

i gotta say, after all i've seen on an the last buncha months, this thread is one that gives me the most hope for the profession. thank god there's somebody out there who likes it, gets it, is good at it, and might be there at my bedside in the future. thanks, thanks, thanks.:yeah::nurse::yeah:

3 for 3!!!! - Go me, Go me, YYYYYaaaaaYYYY!

Had 3 ATI exits this semester, Peds,OB,Psych & made Level 3 on all of them

Just finished all 3 of my finals for the semester and was really anxious about Pediatrics because I was on the verge of failing. We are scheduled to take our Exit HESI (booo!!!) this Wednesday, but are unable to if we fail one of our classes. Our teachers email us beforehand to tell us if we need not to show up for the HESI, which would mean you failed. We had until 5pm for the email and I didn't have it, which meaned I passed all my classes! Never been so happy to not receive an email or take a test in my life!

Now its time to punch the troll at the Exit HESI bride in the face so I can cross it.

I'm going into my FINAL semester in January!!!! - I think that's something worth celebrating. Of course I'll be even happier when I'm finished in May but to come this far is fantastic!

I was one of two students from my class invited to meet with the Regents for the entire university system - which is a HUGE system!! It's a huge honor and I'm still shocked - I have to buy a suit :)

I am a finalist for an externship with a major hospital in the medical center - I'm still on cloud 9.

A couple of weeks ago I found out that I was invited to join my school's chapter of Sigma Theta Tau! :yeah:That made me feel so much better after failing the Exit HESI twice. Other than that silly ol' test, my grades are fine and I'm glad that I am being recognized for my hard work.

I have been awarded a $600 scholarship and will be recognized in a ceremony later this month.

I just got my evaluation from my Peds rotation and the marks were as high as my instructor could make them. She said I'm ahead of where I'm expected to be and ready to take on multiple patients.
