For Fun--Kudos 2 Me...The "toot your own horn" thread

Published

Hi, anyone want to brag a bit? After all, I think we deserve it.

I thought it would be fun to share some of our victories and things we think we should be patted on the back for.

Here's mine....I passed my first skills test this week and got a 100 on our first quiz in Fundamentals which I am soooo proud of because, as everyone knows, nursing tests are different than any other tests, you have to learn to think differently. You have to learn to think like a nurse, and WOOHOO, I DID IT!

Specializes in LTC/Rehab.

Just passed Pharm with an A... not 100% sure how I managed that one since it's probably the hardest class i've ever taken and an A starts at 94% for us.

Specializes in Emergency; med-surg; mat-child.

I found out I'm graduating with honors next week (LPN, still have another year to go). I'm still not quite sure how that happened.

I graduated yesterday. The stress is gone and I just keep humming that old Johnny Nash song," I Can See Clearly Now".:)

I passed my nursing finals for this semester, although I don't know the grade yet. Hopefully, I get As :fingers crossed: I know I at least passed because they said they would send out an email and not let us take the HESI, which was today. Well, today I was able to take the HESI and made a 977 on the first try! Oh, happy day!

Winning! :coollook:

I am teaching my classmates how to read EKGs in my advanced med surg clinicals, as I went to paramedic school and took ACLS many years ago. It's really nice to be able to help my classmates after I have struggled so much in my other nursing classes. I try to keep my lessons silly and simple.

3rd semester of nursing school is DONE and I still have a 4.0. :D One more semester to go, and I'm hoping to keep my GPA!

I'm still a pre-nursing student, but I got a 100 on my final Micro exam! And our teacher has a reputation for being famously difficult and asking nursing school-type questions. ;)

Finally made it....

Specializes in Electrophysiology, Medical-Surgical ICU.

I have been inspired by this thread! I'm always getting B's not that anything's wrong w/ that. I got B's in fundamentals, maternity. and psych and an A in pharm... But I'm spired to try an get a's for my last 3 classes before I gradf! I'm sooooo excited c/0 2012

Just found out I made all As in my nursing courses for this semester. :) The only thing that messed up my GPA was an English Literature course I also took this semester in which I made a C in. That course was more hard than I thought! But it's the nursing courses that count! :nurse:

Specializes in Critical Care (ICU/CVICU).

Graduated on Saturday and Got hired for a GN position in a IMU/ICU Critical Care Residency day before yesterday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SOOOO FREAKING ECSTATIC!

I got my results for the spring semester ( my first semester in NS) Fundamentals :A, Pharmacology :A , Drug cal: A . GPA 4.0. :yeah:

I feel great and I'm sure you all feel the same way about your achievements. It was hard and challenging but all that hard work paid off.
