  1. I was sitting in the HR office yesterday waiting for my interview, and I overheard the people getting all annoyed at all the calls they were getting. I really don't think it will help to call HR, and I didn't the sense that they pass on to the directors who is calling. I think they just assume that we all are interested. Good luck to you, RN5976! It is really hard to wait!
  2. I just took the TEAS last week. I also thought the science section was the most difficult. The study guide was not that helpful for that section, IMO. I mean yes, there is a very quick review of each organ system, but not in NEARLY enough detail. For example, I got a question about the function of ear wax!!! That one was not so hard to figure out, but it is an example of the level of detail on some of the questions. It is interesting, reading through this thread, I could tell that I had many of the same questions that other people had back in January. I wonder how many versions of the test there are.
  3. YES YES YES! People keep asking me when I'm going to finish nursing school and I have to tell them I haven't even started yet....
  4. Yes, this is called initiative, not cheating! It will get you very far in life. :)
  5. There are no quick fixes in this world. I think people jump into nursing thinking it is their ticket to a quick paycheck, but more and more I am realizing that it is not. If you get into nursing school, sure, consider going, but don't expect it to solve your problems... if you are already in pharmacy school and you like it, I would say stick it out. That is the most likely way to be able to pay off your debts.
  6. I just want to give you extra kudos for taking care of your pet. :redbeathe:redbeathe I believe your caring and compassion will come back to reward you someday. Good luck.
  7. I think there is quite a good chance that it will go away. It is already being challenged in the court system, and if Obama is not reelected it almost certainly will never get rolling.
  8. I think it partially depends where you live. Here in the bay area, it's hard to find a nurse who DOESN'T have one. OK, maybe I'm exaggerating a little.
  9. Thanks, Eric.
  10. I think having a degree in Spanish will help you so much, not only with getting into school, but getting a job in the future. Keep up your Spanish skills. Good luck to you! :)
  11. Just bumping my thread in the hopes of getting a response Perhaps I should post it elsewhere, but not sure of the appropriate place.
  12. If a medication is legal but the government tells medical professionals that they can all refuse to give it to me, how is that personal freedom? Seems like it is government power standing in the way of personal freedom. Why does the personal freedom of a medical professional trump the freedom of a patient? Also, the medical professional can be morally against the Plan B pill if they want to be- it is not them who will be taking the pill. Why can't people let their religious beliefs dictate their own behavior without worrying about everybody else's?
  13. edited to remove double posting
  14. I don't know anything about San Antonio College. I do know some things about Merritt College. I highly encourage you to search out various threads on this board about that school.
  15. I'm still a pre-nursing student, but I got a 100 on my final Micro exam! And our teacher has a reputation for being famously difficult and asking nursing school-type questions.
