  1. by far the strangest would be Epidermodysplasia Verruciformis (tree limbs syndrome).
  2. Just keep it simple. Take your pre-reqs for whatever nursing school you wanna go to - transfer them there. Violla!
  3. It sounds like you made them believe that you are moving there OR it wouldn't be a big deal to drive that far for an interview. I would suck it up and just do the face to face interview as scheduled. If you call them back and ask for a phone interview, they'll just throw your resume in the trash and call up somebody who lives closer. Sorry - that's just a fact!
  4. Oh, I would love to have a schedule like that. I thought it was common to work five days in a row, not four? Somebody come back in and lemme know what's going on...?
  5. These stories make me glad I was raised by a bunch of lawyers lol. Long story short, tell whoever it is in your meeting that you want an attorney present with you. This will either: get them off your back, or delay the inevitable. As long as you documented everything and have witnesses, you will be good to go. I think all nurses should be required to take a course in Introduction to law and legal process and/or law and ethics. Knowledge is power my friend -
  6. How often do you wash your scrubs? And when is the last time you bought a pair of new ones? Come on in fellas, I know you can hear me.
  7. Please excuse Prudence and Agatha - they get grumpy when some new face wants to know about becoming a nurse. Anyway - nursing is a great field to get into. If you think you can hang, I say go for it.
  8. Your "friends" who "barely work" make over 6 figures a year? Please tell me more when you get a chance, because my friends, who are engineers, work their butts off and barely pull in 70k a yr. And they HATE their job btw!
  9. Dosage and Calculations is a fun course to take -
  10. Depends on if you like hurtin' ya back and wipin' butts all day? All kidding aside - if you can find a free CNA course, take it! After you get certified, you can go work at a hospital and make some money.
  11. Get the older edition of Davi -Ellen Chabner, hold up...let me check on that. uh, yea that is Davi -Ellen Chabner Medical Terminology. Get the 5th ed. It's only 2 bucks on Amazon.
  12. Depends on you. If you like to study and read, then you shouldn't have any trouble passing those classes.
  13. Yea. They'll be harmed... but don't let that stop you from fighting the good fight. We (allnurses) believe in you. Go get em, Tiger!
  14. oh, brutha. Nursing chemistry is easier than Intro to Chem. which is, btw, a heck of a lot easier than General Chem. You're welcome!
