  1. Yes, I had to withdraw from it last semester and retake it this semester.
  2. It took me 3 years but I officially completed all of my nursing pre-reqs with a cumulative science GPA of a 3.5 and a cumulative GPA of a 3.63. I finally whooped chemistry's ass with an awesome professor this semester. Next stop, the nursing program!
  3. I actually transferred schools in the end. I go to La Salle University and I did pass A&P1 and A&P2 with a B average in both. :)
  4. Welp, after dropping out of my summer chemistry class, I won't be starting clinical this Fall. I have one more chance to take and pass chemistry which I am doing this semester. I have passed every other pre-req except for chemistry. The only other option for a pre-nursing major who doesn't pass the pre-reqs is to do Public Health. I am 2 weeks away from the school year starting and I am getting anxious. This chemistry class will either make or break my major/career choice. I've even started looking into other majors.
  5. I'm allowed to repeat the chemistry class once more. I've been talking to my advisor. I think I am understanding things better but the class is just moving way too fast for me to grasp the concepts fully.
  6. I'm currently taking a summer chemistry class because I withdrew from the one I was taking at college. It's so accelerated and I am failing the class. I am wondering if I should change majors or if I should spend another year in college and retake chemistry with another professor and get a tutor to meet with me a couple of times a week. I have a tutor for my summer class and it's helping but the class is way too fast for me. The only thing that is standing between me and starting clinical is chemistry. I got an A in micro and a B in A&P1/A&P2. Should I drop the summer class and retake chemistry in the fall or spring? I'll be in college for 3 more years then.
  7. Thank you for the encouragement. I will do my best.
  8. Yeah, it's the math that is difficult for me to grasp. Balancing equations, sig-figs etc. I hope the math slows down and it becomes more memorization or something.
  9. I started a chemistry class last week because I failed my chemistry class last semester. I am so stressed out over it because I am terrible at chemistry. I did well in A&P1/2-B and Microbiology-A but I struggle so much with chemistry. I am nervous that I won't pass and will have to retake the class again in the Fall, thus pushing back my graduation date a full year. Maybe I should change to a Public Health major? Any advice?!
  10. Hello, I was wondering what pre-req classes besides the science classes are factored into the nursing GPA?
  11. Well, I started the class today. Honestly, it is going to be a terrible 5 weeks. I couldn't figure out the most basic formula we were doing in class. I am frustrated and sad already. To be held back by a disability/brain is a terrible feeling. I talked to the professor and she didn't really offer much useful input. I guess I shall seek out a tutor.
  12. Thank you for such great words of encouragements. Luckily, I don't really have anything doing while this class is going. My brother is home and is good at chemistry and if need by I'll get myself a tutor. I'm just nervous because I am entering the unknown.
  13. Well, here I am..... My summer chemistry class starts tomorrow (Principles of Chem 1) and I am absolutely a nervous wreck. I have never taken a chemistry class in my life and I am not too great at math. The class is 3 times a week for 4.5 hours. I have no idea what to expect and I am soooo scared. Do any of you have any input/suggestions?
  14. Failing my summer chemistry class or statistics..
  15. I should probably note.....after all of my freaking out....I pulled an A in microbiology. :)
