If you have worked at Paradise Valley Hospital in National City I was wondering what your experience was like? Did you have lots of time with a nurse to orient before you were on your own? Did they give plenty of time?

I would love to hear from others about their experience with the leadership ATI exam? Was it more challenging than the practice exams? Did a lot of people in your class not pass? Any tips? Thank You :)

Hi opx322, NU does not offer an externship. Why I am not sure but this is an accelerated program so there is not a lot of free time anyway. One thing I read last night is that the state mandates how many hours a school must provide in the clinical setting so you know you can at least get the minimum number of hours the state believes a school should provide. I also read that BSN programs do not get as many clinical hours as a CNA or perhaps LVN. I think it was CNA but can't remember but BSN gets more theory and knowledge. Hopefully that helps a bit :) Maybe someone has some better information. :)

Thank you so much for sharing this BlueEyes. That is great to hear. :) Wow I can't believe people still managed to work part-time while in classes. In orientation that video they played says we need to expect on average 71 hours per week to dedicate to studying, classes, care plans, clinicals, etc. That scares me lol :)

Hi everyone, I created a facebook group for our cohort. It's called "National University SD Cohort 38." :)

Did pretty good on the TEAS and so/so on the essay. I think I have a good chance of making it but we shall see. How about you?
