Things I think but won't say: From my own experience, it shocks me how some health care providers are quite comfortable with telling deliberate lies to a patient's face about their health care. With a pleasant smile, and caring demeanor. I think this is one of the things that I find most shocking in health care. And no, I am not talking about genuine mistakes, or unknowingly not having the correct information. I was able to question the information given, and when I did the individual concerned even admitted lying and gave a very poor excuse. The sadness was that this was an individual that our family had trusted over a number of years.
