I was joking with my boss today that from now on everything I say is going to start with "Evidence based research shows that.............and finish my thought.
Such as "Evidence based research shows that if you runaround with your shoes untied your going to fall on your face."
Let's hear yours and remember to begin with Evidence based research shows.........
Have fun

Evidence based research shows that Kitiger really knows what she's talking about!

And...Evidence based research shows that wearing white scrubs to work carries an 80% chance of spilling coffee on oneself before the end of the shift!
Evidence shows that if I wear white I have at least a 50% chance of spilling on myself before the START of my shift

Or State. One time State was in the building when I was doing a med pass near a dining room, and there were so many managers and other non-floor-nursing people standing around 'supervising' and 'helping' that I almost had to say uh, could you GET OUT OF THE WAY while I'm trying to DO MY MED PASS?!? :^)

All scientific research is based on evidence. (Someone might make a case for mathematical research and philosophical research ... but when people say "evidence-based research," they are referring to scientific research, which by definition is based on evidence, which makes the phrase redundant.)"Evidence-based practice" makes sense to me as a phrase as not all practices are evidenced-based. But "evidence-based research" in a health care context is a poor choice of words.
Thank you for this!!! I was about to post, "Evidence-based research shows that 'evidence-based research' is the same as saying 'research-based research'." That phrase is like nails on a chalkboard to me and I hear it all the time.

Thank you. Two others are 'each and every' (I hate even TYPING that), and 'dead body'.

Evidence based research shows that evidence based research is a poor choice of words.
Evidence based research shows that the term "research" is better.
