Hi,I'm 36 years old I'm planning to into nursing school. By sometimes I feel I'm a little old.i wonder if they would hired me,by the time I'm done with my RN.PLEASE ADVISE

I graduated with my BSN at 48 and age was not an issue.

I remember being in my early thirties and not going back to school because I thought I was too old. lol Now I'm 40 and going back and I don't feel old at all - I'm not even the oldest in ANY of my classes. You (we) have plenty of time left to work - don't even think about it!

I'll be 34 when I graduate this December and I'm not even close to being the oldest one in my class. We have several people in their 40's and a couple in their 50's.

I definitely had multiple people your age if not older in my nursing class. my suggestion would be to look into the different options of how to go about getting your RN. One of my best friends didn't start nursing school until she was about your age and now she is one of the best nurses i know. From my observations people who go back to school later in life tend to be more serious about it which makes them very successful! GOOD LUCK!!!!

I just turned 35 and will start an aBSN program in August. Not too old at all.
