HI can any one offer some information. I was dismissed from nursing school when I have only two days left to complete my preceptorship and it was counted as my two failure. I have finished everything I have to do in my nursing classes except these two days left for the preceptorship. Now I am planning on going to start all over again in a different school because I still love nursing and I want to be a nurse. And if I go in to do LPN, I have finished everything. Can anybody refere me to either a school where I can transfer my credits and finish and get my degree or where I can seat for NCLEX PN since I have finished everything except those two days left for my preceptor ship.
Will appreciate your information and advice.

i do not know what state you are from, so am unable to tell if your state allows you to do the nclex-pn by educational equivalency. you can find out that information yourself by going to your state board website and pulling up the application for first time lpn licensure by nclex-pn examination. on the application itself there should be instructions about what the qualifications are to take the exam. if educational equivalency is allowed they usually give the directions there. if not, call the state board to be sure that they allow it and perhaps just don't mention it on the application. you will also find lists of the nursing schools in your state that you can contact on their web site. good luck.

Not an unusual happening in nursing. Were the two fails warranted? Is there an appeal process?

Can you provide more details?
A school isn't going to just dismiss you from the program with two days left to percept without a very good reason, and just count them as failures.
The reason I'm asking is because if you apply to another school, they will.

If you've been academically dismissed it would seem there has to be some sort of appeals process. I would pursue that with the school first before going down the LPN road. I'd pull out my student handbook, college catalogs and start reading! There should be more information regarding appeals in those resources.
Good luck and I'm sorry this happened to you.
The reason why I was dismissed was that my preceptor will ask me questions during our break time and if I didn't get them right, she will go home and talk to my instructor and my instructor held that on me. Again I already talked to the board of nursing in MI if there is a way I can take NCLEX PN they said no unless I graduated from a school of LPN. So if know any school that can take me let me know. Thanks to all of you who is helping me. I also appealed but to no avail. I mean going back to school of nursing or LPN when I was about to take my NCLEX RN.

Let me get this straight...You mean to tell me you got dismissed because of some questions you got asked on break, that you could not answer??? Are you sure there isn't more to this story...Just curious...
Contact the individual schools in Michigan:

You could always move to a state that does accept educational equivalency and take the NCLEX-PN there. The license, however, will not endorse to Michigan.

it sounds like theres more to the story that we aren't getting. i highly doubt that a school would dismiss from the entire program simply b/c a student couldn't answer a couple questions they were asked during a preceptorship.
Anyway it sounds to you that there a lot more but only God is my witness. Thanks again for all of you who have contributed. I will look for the state but if you have any suggestion, I will love to have those states. Otherwise I have to go and start all over again

Actually I can believe you could have been failed arbitrarily. There were many such fails in my school. Some were given two fails for no other reason than being men. They're quick to choose someone to fail, there has to be a number fo fails to keep the image up. If everyone passes then they might be seen as an easy school. [Thats what they said in private.]
One man they failed twice threatened legal action on them personally and they took back one fail to let him go through. It's hard to justify a fail if you have the grades and meet the objectified standards.
They failed at least 10 nurses that year. Many were ousted as they were not nurse material, i.e. Psychotic or 'off', Male and Female. Some were given enough rope to hang themselves and they did, others were just diismissed out of nowhere.
The best thing you can do is object in writing citing clear examples of how this action is based on things unrelated to the established standard. Prejudice has no place and Opinion has little place in the decision to harm you.
You may have legal rights so seek the help of an attorney and get a truely objective opinion. Think "Righteous indignation" and act to save your career, your patients need that spirit.

I find it appalling and very disappointing that schools that profess are this rigid, and may I say "uncaring" ? My, my, I wonder what would Jean Watson say?
