Cost of your RN degree??

Nurses General Nursing

I am thinking of going to a Fortis school in Florida and the RN program is 45K. I can take night classes or daytime, but daytime would add on to the loan amount.

Is this too much??

I think it is a ton of money for an RN degree, but I am interested to know what others have paid.

Thanks!!

8500 for my ADN and I had a grant, and about 8500 for my BSN for which my hospital will pay about 6000 of. So my out of pocket. 2k.

Specializes in Pediatrics, Emergency, Trauma.

My BSN degree was 35,000...graduated in 2012.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.
Is this an ADN program? Then yes too much. Is this a BSN program then a little high but not unreasonable
Fortis College, the school of choice for the OP, is one of the many investor-owned for-profit schools that advertises on daytime TV.
Specializes in public health, women's health, reproductive health.

I graduated last year (ASN) and it cost me about $10,000, including pre-reqs. Think carefully before you go to Fortis.

~180-185K, however the Army paid most. My other classmates were stuck with the bill.

Can anyone top that?

About $3.50

Yeah, but with that 9,000 years of experience you have, you have to figure in the current cost of living. I think you likely overpaid.

What.

What.

Yup school was roughly 50K a year (I had room/board too) for a little over 4 year degree.

ADN, Florida, 9k.

An old HCA hospital I used to work for refused to hire Fortis grads, just an fyi.

Specializes in Pedi.

Mine was just a little less than that. If I recall correctly, freshman year $36k, sophomore year $42k (took a year off between freshman and sophomore year, so that year probably cost $39k), junior year $45k, senior year $48k. So that'd be $171K. I had over $90K in debt when I graduated 8 years ago and have around $35K left. My alma mater's costs are over $65K/year now.

Just finished the ADN, I paid about 16,000 for my degree including pre-requisites. My BSN is going to cost 5k. Way too much!
