I am thinking of going to a Fortis school in Florida and the RN program is 45K. I can take night classes or daytime, but daytime would add on to the loan amount.
Is this too much??
I think it is a ton of money for an RN degree, but I am interested to know what others have paid.
Thanks!!
My BSN cost me close to 70k. I'm not proud of it and I wish I didn't spend that much but lesson learned for if I ever go back to school. I went to a state college when I graduated high school like most of my peers and I didn't even think about the cost at the time. I anticipated living at home after school to pay my loans off as quick as possible anyways, but it stinks seeing most of my paycheck go bye bye. I would try something cheaper. If your area hires ADNs, go for that and then get hired by someone that will pay for your BSN. Or do prerequisites at a community college and then start a BSN program.
Money is only a tool to accomplish what you want in life. 180K is a big nut but I guess that's what private schools cost- The next question is do private institutions provide better education than public ones? Are you getting value for your money?
Didn't I see the President say on TV that CC's were going to be free? I don't think that was one of my medical marijuana days for fibromyalgia and stress...

A little under 4K for my ADN at a community college. Had all but 1 of non nursing classes completed due to a previous bachelors degree. That's with a 4000 scholarship too. If I enroll in a concurrent bsn program at a state university, it will be another 10K.
Adn + bsn completion = under 15,000
