Had a kid bring his wet, bloody tooth and plop it right on my desk.

C'mon now!

Or the kid that did running knee slide into my office.

C'mon now!

The ones old enough to cover their mouths but choose to cough right in your face instead.

All together: C'mon now!!

Some things just make me shake my head.

When the SPED AID is acting all gloaty because she gets to send one of the kids out that she won't have to deal with and acts like she has saved the rest of the school from being exposed!!!! Yep, at 3:05 - after contagious kid has been here since 8:30. Kid got picked up a whopping 7 minutes before she would have left anyway.

That grateful moment when you get a text saying that the news inaccurately reported a threat against a school in your county... Only minutes later to get a text from your teacher husband saying it was his school (different county) and the police are on scene.

C'mon Now. Praying for safe schools all across the country.

My heart jumped for you. Thank God it wasn't real. That's so scary.

A school in our district received a hoax threat last year, it's very scary.

Thanks guys! Hubs says police are still patrolling hallways, but there aren't many students left as most of them checked out.

Just had a student come in and tell me she lost the back of her earring and her teacher sent her up because she thought I would have some. I mean really?!

A piece of pencil eraser works. But those would be found in the classroom, not the nurse’s office!

It should be in your first aid kit next to the duct tape, extra bras, and full pharmacy.

5th grader: "I lost my tooth. Literally. I spit it in the trash can."
Well what do you want me to do? Do you want a tooth fairy note?
"Nah."

One of my kinder teachers has sent a mass email to all of the parents in her class because we are having flu hit their group again and she wanted to let her parents know. She even made sure to include the word "epidemic" and stressed that if their kiddo is sick, or if I call, to make sure they're seen by a pediatrician because we have some serious illnesses on our campus.

So, if you're looking for me, I'll be answering phone calls and emails for the rest of my life now and trying to explain why it wasn't ME who sent out an email since we have such a giant concern regarding illnesses on our campus...
