As an artist, the one thing that is my constant pursuit is inspiration. Appreciation, adoration, adulation, and monetary compensation are nice, but they don't feed the monkey.
Sooooooooo I'm posing a challenge to my virtual friends, @NurseBlaq @TriciaJ @Daisy4RN, @caliotter3 @sirI @Hoosier_RN @nursel56 @NRSKarenRN and good ole @GrumpyRN and I've put off doing this for quite some time, and that is to challenge me to make art with something that you may believe I cannot.
After I read this quote by Andre Breton back in '03, I needed to prove to myself that I wasn't an idiot.
Thanks for the fodder, @NurseBlaq. I will do something with your responses, but the time's getting close to closing down my Art Room Shop.
In the meantime, I'll leave you with something in the same vein that not an IV or my work:

Liberace was some kind of showman, wasn't he? Wow.
I was going through some of my 150+ journals, looking for a pretty good color cartoon I know I did of him years ago in order to fulfill your most welcomed request, Karen. I have not found the cartoon as of yet, but in my search, I found a little drawing that I did in Feb '04 that I thought was interesting:
Pretty cool, eh? My interpretation of your avatar!

Early in our relationship, I had lost something around the house, and Belinda was helping me look for it. At one point, she asked, "Did you find it?" I replied, "If I find it, I will call out, 'FOUND IT!'" This routine continued for years.
Some years later, Belinda and I were biking on the KATY Trail when we came to a sign before a bridge that read "Lost Creek". We made no note of it, but as we crossed the bridge, Belinda called out "FOUND IT!"
Karen: "FOUND IT !"
My favorite drawings come spontaneously with no reference, as this one of Liberace. Oh sure, I could have drawn him from that great video you posted, but that, for me, would have been too predictable. This way, it's poetry; it's art.
I looked through at least 20 journals before I found this little drawing and it was an wonderful excursion through hundreds of drawings in five years of journals. I knew that drawing was done between 2000 and 2005 because that was my Highlighter and Ink period. I remembered it being at the side of the page, and there it was- in a journal from June '05!
I want to broaden this challenge a bit.

Plus stacks of paper and a multitude of paintings, signs, sculptures, etc.
I'm requesting that a person or circumstance is named that I haven't previously made art.
Now, please- don't be too obscure or esoteric! Merely name a relatively famous person or a typical or non-typical situation that comes to mind, like chewing on a chicken thigh:
