One of the saddest days of my life-I will miss my friend and boss!! My family is deeply shocked too, my daughter just met him in San Diego and she just fell in love with him, he was her idol at 14!
I respectfully ask that we only post kind words and condolences on here-as the allnurses admin team are in deep mourning
I cannot hope to find words that match the eloquence of some of these posts. I would just like to add that I have benefited immeasurably from all nurses, both personally and professionally. I started reading way back in 2004 when I committed to change my career. The information and support I have gained from the site has helped manifest a long held dream, and I know many posters here have shared this experience. These profound impacts alone speak of a tremendous legacy.
My heart breaks for the moderators, friends, family, and all those close to this tragedy. May you find healing.
I was in such shock hearing this news. I was always impressed by how hands-on he was with this website. This is such a great loss. I'm so sorry for his family and for those who worked for him. His legacy will live on here. Thanks for bringing us all together, Brian---you will not be forgotten.
So very sad. Thanks to Brian and this wonderful, encouraging group I made it through nursing school. So many times I was ready to quit but I would come here and time after time be reminded that I would make it. RIP Brian......we all owe you a debt of gratitude for this amazing site. We'll meet again one day.

I was a moderator here about 10 years ago. I remember Brian to be kind, generous, and fair. Because of him and what he created here, I still have several lifelong lifelong friends from the Allnurses family- and lots of crazy memories.
My heart is heavy for what happened to him and his family. My sincere condolences.
