We are heartbroken and in disbelief. Our heads are reeling.....Thank you for your kind words.

I am in complete and utter shock. Very little about this makes any sense, and I don't expect it ever will.

I have been a member of the site for a decade, joining when I was just thinking about becoming a nurse. I have been a member of the staff since 2009, and I have had the pleasure of meeting many members of my allnurses family, including Brian, at events in the past. This is just a devastating thing, words really fail me. I will keep their family and friends in my thoughts. Allnurses truly changed my life, and I will always be grateful to Brian for what he has created.

Just heartbroken.

I would never had taken the plunge and changed my career to nursing if not for Brian and this site. Thank you, Brian. Be at peace.

Truly at a loss for words... Such a tragedy.. Prayers for him and his family. He has created a community and family for every nurse no matter the specialty or experience; a place where we all share the career paths as nurses; a place we come share our fears, frustrations, hopes, dreams and our achievements.

Just in complete shock.

The length of this thread is a testimony to the legacy Brian has created here. Allnurses has taught me so much about so much, not just nursing. I only got to meet him in person once, but I was in awe, like meeting a celebrity. My heart is deeply saddened for those who were close to him.

May Brian and the rest of the Shorts rest in peace.

I send my condolences to Brian's family and friends. I hope that the work he has done by creating this community will allow a part of his legacy to continue.

RIP to the family Prayers!
