I am so, so sorry that this sadness has befallen Mr. Short's family.

We just do not know what sadness is in the hearts of those we

care about. He allowed so many of us a place we, as nurses, could

share our stories and obtain peace and healing.

Brian's vision became my nursing voice. And I am truly thankful.

Love and Light to all.

As a long-time AN member, and now retired Nurse (46 years), I was shocked and dismayed to learn of the deaths of the Brian Short family. Brian made this site and Nurses world-side have benefited from it. I don't do FB or twitter or any of the other social media sites...but AllNurses is different...AllNurses is ALL Nurses. I sincerely hope the site continues on, as we all know Brian would want it to. Sincere condolences to all family & friends of the Brian Short family including the AllNurses family.

I did have the privilege to meet Brian in person a few years ago; a sweet man. And he has done so much for our community. My condolences to everyone who loved him :(

Such a tragedy..... My thoughts and prayers are with the families of the deceased.

Just learned of this on the news.... Incomprehensible.

I, with many others, will be waiting with bated breath to watch this unfold.

May they all rest in peace...

I used to be an Administrator, Moderator, and Guide here at allnurses, previously under the name of Thunderwolf aka Wolfie. I haven't been on the board now for several years due to many life commitments making it nearly impossible for me to be present in any meaningful way. I just heard the news. I am deeply, deeply saddened by the loss of Brian and his family. He always brought joy to me. He was a spirit of inspiration. He was a kindred brother and fellow nurse. I lived vicariously thru him by his pictures that he shared on his family vacations. I am just heart broken in this loss...my loss...and our loss. With tears, I send prayers for him and his family. Sending much love to my brother and fellow nurse, Brian. You made me a better man and a better nurse by bumping into me.
