I am tremendously saddened by this tragedy. AN has helped me in many different ways and for many, many years. I have gone from LPN, RN, BSN, MSN, and FNP with the help of AN. There is no place in the world other than AN to find help with the 100's of dimensions of nursing. Truly unique. Thank you for creating AN Brian. May you and your family rest in peace. Your legacy will live on through Allnurses. God Bless.

I also found allurses when considering whether to pursue nursing. Allnurses has been with me pretty much every day since then. I have found so much wonderful advice, many laughs, many SMH moments. I remember Brian's posts always were wise and on point.

I am so sorry this has happened, it's terrible for those who were personally connected to Brian and his family, I hope you are able to come to peace at some point. My thoughts are with the allnurses community, and the family.

I am from the UK but have just read this on the "mail online" website.

It is such a shame to hear about this tragedy. It really is heartbreaking news, even for myself who did not know the family personally.

I am very sorry for the loss of people who knew/loved this family. I hope they all rest in peace and some sort of reasoning and explanation to the deaths of this family are found very soon, as it is heartbreaking not knowing what happened and why it happebed to these beloved people.

RIP.

Love From Jess x

Found this a few years ago as a pre-nursing student, and am so glad I can find answers and give advice here with my experience. I find so much solace in coming here, and would have been so lost at the beginning of my nursing journey without this site. I am confused, shocked, and so saddened by this. RIP to all involved.

One day at a time is all we can do. We can take some comfort that Brian was well aware the impact this site had on the international nursing community. His success is his legacy.

Even once the investigation is complete, regardless of the result, this brilliant community with the bright yellow banner is a beacon for success and resources for potential nurses, current and retired nurses around the globe. Nothing can ever change that and we all have the potential to make the community stronger.
