Official Statement Regarding Passing of Brian Short, Founder of allnurses.com, September 12, 2015
We are deeply saddened by the unexpected death of Brian Short, founder of allnurses.com. We respectfully request that you grant the company's employees, friends, families and associates privacy during this difficult time. allnurses will continue to support nursing professionals by providing an unparalleled peer-to-peer online community where they can share experiences and learn from and support one another.

I just read about this tragedy on a news website. I am stunned. I don't know the circumstances of what happened, but I want to say thank you to Brian for starting this website. It has been a valuable resource for me since 2007. I am so sorry. RIP to Brian and his family.

Words cannot express my shock and dismay at hearing this news. My sincere condolences go out to all of Brian's family and the entire allnurses.com family, as well. Peace be with you all.
What an impact Brian has made in the world of nursing. He has touched thousand of lives and has left an amazing legacy. We never know how long we have on this planet but the value of our life is based on the people we touched and the impact we have made. Brian did both. He and his family will be greatly missed. I wish the extended family comfort and peace during your period of mourning.
I have no words for this tragedy. I dont want to know exactly what happened, is it necessary to know the details? This is a horrible tragedy that is very haunting. I am so sorry for the short family and extended family and friends. My heart goes out to you all.

I am so sorry Boratz, Brian, Karen, Cole, Madison, and Brooklyn. I have tears enough for all. Thank you Boratz for sharing that beautiful poem. I almost lost my teenager to suicide awhile ago and God it still hurts so much to even think of it today.
