Official Statement Regarding Passing of Brian Short, Founder of allnurses.com, September 12, 2015
We are deeply saddened by the unexpected death of Brian Short, founder of allnurses.com. We respectfully request that you grant the company's employees, friends, families and associates privacy during this difficult time. allnurses will continue to support nursing professionals by providing an unparalleled peer-to-peer online community where they can share experiences and learn from and support one another.

So sorry to hear of Brian's passing, my condolences to his family and friends. May you find strength in knowing there are thousands of us who will be praying for you at this time of grief.
I am deeply sorry to hear this news. Even if we didn't know the Short family, it still feels so personal because this website benefits so many people, we all feel connected. May they all rest in peace.

I am deeply sorry to hear this news. I pray that Brian's family may have peace during this difficult time. Allnurses has changed my life, and how I practice as a nurse.
My thoughts and prayers for the Short family and the staff here at AN. I found AN in 2006. It has been a place for me to come and share and ask questions and occasionally vent. I am forever grateful to Brian for creating this site.

I am so very sorry to hear of this tragedy. My condolences to all the staff at Allnurses, his family, and anyone who felt like he was a part of their nursing family. I know I did.
