Official Statement Regarding Passing of Brian Short, Founder of allnurses.com, September 12, 2015
We are deeply saddened by the unexpected death of Brian Short, founder of allnurses.com. We respectfully request that you grant the company's employees, friends, families and associates privacy during this difficult time. allnurses will continue to support nursing professionals by providing an unparalleled peer-to-peer online community where they can share experiences and learn from and support one another.

This news is surreal. You read about these tragedies from a distance, but never would I have imagined to "know" someone. Although this is the internet, Brian was very personable. I cannot imagine how devastated his close friends and family feel right now.
Wow no words here, I have learned so much from the site Brian created, deeply saddened by this news, even though never met him personally his work and support for all us nurses will remain with me always, thank you Brian may you rest in peace dear friend.
Condolences to the family and love one! I appreciate what he created here and am grateful for him! Sorry I didn't give him his flower while he was here!
