  1. Say that you are "caring". Its okay, the FAU college of nursing says they are caring too, but they dont mean it. Trust me when I tell you to pick another school. Good luck
  2. @_future_RN_ ; @me10: So in the Orientation email, it said that the second mandatory orientation is January 12th, so just to clarify, does that mean that the first day of school is Jan 11th and we have the second orientation on the second day of school? This could be right...but it seems to me that their schedule may be getting pushed back a bit. I'm sure we will find on on Dec. 14th as far as a solid date for out first day :) :)
  3. Yay me10!!! Congrats !!!!!
  4. @_future_RN_ I freaked out too when I saw all of the blood work requirements haha. The good thing is that your MMR, Varicella, and Tetnus have probably already been done. You can sign a waiver for now for the Hep B, so just get your Flu shot and TB test and good to go! I don't have my childhood records for my shots, so I asked my provider to order labs to test for the antibodies of the titered vaccines. The drug test and fingerprinting is making me nervous because they have to mail the forms to me all they way in Hawaii. I will fed ex my results back of course, I just hope the forms get to me in time. Anyone know why some of the forms say to upload to "Magnus"? Is this real or did they just forget to change it to "Upload to Certified Profile"?
  5. Congrats to everyone! I feel like we are all already friends lol don't give up guys!
  6. Sweet! I will see you there! @Asanti12
  7. I've asked my friends that have done group interviews for nursing school and they all sayto be confident, but not arrogant and you don't necessarily have to be the first one to answer the question. Think about a good answer if you have the time. That's the advice that I got, I hope it helps! Is anyone else scheduled for the 9:30 am slot? Hope to see you there!
  8. I was contacted by a phone call with a 786 area code last Monday. So make sure you answer your phone or check your voicemail regularly :) Good luck!
  9. Yay!! Congrats me too!
  10. No news here either. This is definitely taking a long time, I feel like I will hear back from FAU before FIU and their deadline was just last week. Did anyone else apply to any other schools? BS is in Criminology lol but Im hoping my hospital experience and my current job as an M.A. will help. Fingers Crossed XX
  11. I think we all received that same email because I haven't emailed them about anything that hasn't already been answered. I think that they know we are all anxious and worried due to issues with the CAS portal, so they are just trying to give us an estimated timeline. I think they should just accept everyone on this blog and call it a day already
  12. I got the same message on Friday too.
  13. Haha I like the Hunger Games reference @msl2555 :) I haven't heard anything back yet either. Does anyone have a school email for FIU yet? I wouldn't think so since we are not accepted into the school until we are accepted into the nursing program, but I am just checking. I gave them my Gmail address so I've been checking that but like I said, I still haven't heard anything yet. Anyone want to share their stats? BS GPA overall: 3.5 Science GPA:4.0 TEAS: 90.7
  14. Oh thank goodness! I made the comment about it being in their hands and not to worry, but then I started worrying lol. I was about to call them tomorrow. Thank you @ABSN1617 and Nurse_ForLife for easing all of our minds! Good luck!!!!!
  15. @asanti12 @nurse_forlife@me10 Ok so, yes, just because your transcripts have been received does not mean that they have been verified. Even if they have not received your transcripts, still submit your application ASAP. You do not need to wait until your transcripts have been received to submit your application according to the FAQs page on Nursing CAS. I sent my transcripts on August 12th from 4 different schools (military spouse) and submitted my application on August 21st. All of my transcripts have been received, they are in the verification process. I am not too worried though because I feel like as long as they have them, it is up to THEM to verify our transcripts before the deadline. If you log on to nursing CAS, go to Manage my Programs, and then to Program Status, you can check the status of your application and your transcripts here. Once they submit it to FAU, it should say Complete. Mine still does not say that lol. However, I checked today, and it looks like the DEADLINE has been extended to 9/14/15. I am assuming that they are super behind and asked FAU for an extention. Cross your fingers. As long as you submit everything, it is in their hands, I wouldn't worry. but still check daily :-)
