Hello to all,
I've recently returned from an all expenses paid vacation to the desert(just a little humor). I'm very grateful to be home this year and have the holidays home with my family. We take so many things for granted here in the US like running water, A/C. Things that are really creature comforts.
Just wanted to know, what are you truly grateful for this holiday season. Is it your family, a co-worker, a roof over your head?
Just wanted to say happy holidays to everyone at this wonderful web site. And if you know a family that has a mom, dad, sister, brother, uncle, aunt or any other family member that is deployed, let them know how grateful that their sacrifice is what is keeping you safe. Words of encourgement helped me to get through this past year.
Happy holidays to all!!!!!!!!

i have to agree with baglady.
speaking for myself, i am grateful for family, health and happenstance in my life.
but after reading your post, noting intact humor and sanity, i am even more humbled.
i find myself suddenly, even more appreciative of what i have.
and that is because of you and everyone who serves.
a big, heartfelt salute and thank you, to you and your comrades.
and welcome home.

To echo the others, I am thankful that people like you are willing to protect me and my family. That you put your lives on the line to protect all of us.
I am thankful that YOU are back home safe and sound with your family.
I am thankful that I have a healthy happy family that loves me as much as I love them. I am thankful that I have my health. Thankful that I have a roof over my head, heat to keep me warm, clothes, food in my belly and enough of it all to keep my family fed, clothed and housed. i am thankful that I have enough that I can give to those who don't.
and I am thankful that I live in a Country where I can say (quoting but maybe not exactly the way Voltaire worded it)
"I don't approve of all the words you say, but I will defend to the death, your right to say them"
Wishing all a happy Thanksgiving and a wonderful upcoming Holiday Season.

I'm thankful for all the excitement in my life and surviving the cyclone that ripped through Bangladesh last week.
Plus, I'm invited to two Thanksgiving meals in one day. I hope the first one wears off before I go to the second one, lol!

Others stole my thought - thankful that others are willing to die for a cause.
My nieces - 3 year old twins and 8 month old twins. I didn't know how to smile until I saw them. And the 3 year olds - always good for a laugh! They are the brightest light on the darkest night.
Music - without it I would be a mess. I play the violin and when I'm down, I take it out of the case, play a few pieces, put it back, forgotten until I'm in need of it again.
