Per the request of janina08 I've started the April NCLEX takers support group. When do you take it? What are you using to study? Would anyone like to review any of the systems/meds that he/she feels weakest on? Let's keep each other in our prayers and good thoughts as we go through one of the biggest experiences of our lives. :)
Hi Mave
awww...i can feel you...i know how scary it could be especially when you're nearing test date...been there 4 times...and it was only on my 4th try that I learned that praying could actually calm the nerves...(if i only knew bout this a long time ago, i might have passed before hee hee...). My 3rd try was even the worst coz I was literally shaking the whole time I was taking the test, and I couldn't breathe (I have asthma)...i didn't know what to do but still I had to push through with the test...though sad to say that affected my results.
That's why I don't ever want any of that to happen to any of you guys...or anyone else ever...I could only offer prayers and my whole hearted support. I am rooting for all of you. I believe everyone will make it. Everyone's been working so hard for this test especially you, Moments, Ianjel, Mischa, OR2CA,Chichimitchi, Rizapride, ethenmon, and all the rest...:) and I wish everybody the best they could ever get from this exam :) God is backing you up!!!
Cheers to everyone! I ask for God's blessings for all of you...
HUGS:icon_hug:TO ALL!!!
"Let it be done for you according to your faith"
Matthew 9:29
Ay, ay, ay,ay MomenTs,
Why do you do this to me now?
All right, fat emulsion. I think I would discard it. Watch out with the "call the physician" answers. Even if that could be the answer in real world (an in NCLEX too !!), pay specail attention to the answers that imply "passing the ball" to someone else (and again, it could be the answer).
The tricuspid I think is the 5th (but I'm not sure either).
Wound care: least contaminated to most contaminated.
Difference between malpractice and negligence? Well, if I remember correctly, in order to be consider malpractice you must be a professional on duty and operating under the scope of your profession. So, a malpractice is always a negligence but a negligence does not have to be necessarily malpractice.
So, tomorrow is my day and I am going insane. I am entering the phase of second guessing myself (which proved catastrophic results in the past) and starting to fell phisically sick.
I am starting to ask God for Luck instead of Justice (the story of my life)
Good Luck to you all, specially the ones who are taking the test today
hey guys.. so i just got out of the testing site literally like an hour ago and here is what i had:
75 qs total
13 SATA
6 math (harder than i expected)
around 10 drugs
the rest were prioritization, pt teaching, infection control
had a lot of DM qs but no other endocrine
no herbal meds
so the wait is on.. this is the worse part.. hopefully i passed.. if u guys have any questions dont hesitate to ask me :uhoh3:
Cheer up Chichimitchi,
I am sure you passed. By looking other posts I came to the conclussion that the more SATA's you are having in the NCLEX the better your performance is being? I know there are a lot of urban legends around the test, but for some reason this makes a little sense to me.
Any way, relax and tell us you passed on wednesday

I'VE GOT THE FEELING YOU PASS MY DEAR!
I read the most recent posts, I am starting to have the fear factor, Oh my..8 days to go!:redbeathe:redbeathe:redbeathe:bugeyes:
I took the NCLEX-PN today. The test ended at 85 Qs. I know thats the minimum for the NCLEX-PN and the minimum for NCLEX-RN is 85. I had a lot of SATAs! Two math calculations. I feel a little nauseated, but I will wait and see and hope for the best. Some questions I felt very confident, others not so much. Let's pray for the best. Thanks for the encouragement and support!:):heartbeat:heartbeat:))
Hey,
chichimichi-It sounds to me like you passed but I know how you feel--after the test I thought I'd bombed it w/76 questions b/c I got a lot of SATAs (and I suck at those) plus several Q's on a cancer I'd never heard of. Everyone kept saying how I'd passed (which didn't really help my anxiety :), and I did!
Look at it this way, the test can potentially give 265 Qs, it's unlikely, if you weren't doing well for it to shut off so soon, it would probably want to give you more opportunities to pass. Also, how annoying that pearson charges 8 bucks to get quick results!

good luck to all april 2008 NCLEX-RN takers! took it april 1. checked the quick result on april 4. luckily i passed!!! word of advice to future exam takers... be prepared for "select all that apply" type of questions. of the 75 questions i answered, 18 were SATA questions. i never thought that the exam would be that hard. it was very hard to stay focused during the exam. i felt sick after taking it... take it when you think you've prepared enough... good luck and God bless all april test takers!
