  1. i knew 2 guys who worked Postpartum but none in L&D. i personally think that there are certain area's that are hard for a man to break into and this is one of it. i myself didnt mind my L&D experience but also felt like the mothers were not very comfortable with the guys in our class being in the room.
  2. wow this group rocks. congratulations to all who passed already. to those who are waiting on results or have not taken the exam yet, i am praying for all of you. just think like an RN and drink like one after the exam too. that will keep your mind off of things while you wait. lol
  3. sounds like you're burnt out. go take a break for a few days. watch a movie, have some drinks with friends, or go to the gym. this definitely helped me out. well actually i did this everyday while i was studying so i wouldnt focus on just studying all the time.
  4. id say better alone. i did the same thing. brought my wife with me and got a hotel room close to the center. drove by it the afternoon before then went out to see a movie and have a nice dinner. got back to the hotel and went to bed early. woke up and had a light breakfast. then went into the center and slayed the beast. when you're alone you're thinking and worrying of #1 only. thats a good thing
  5. :yeah::yeah::dancgrp::prdnrs: nuff said!!!!!
  6. you did great!!! think like an RN and you will be one!!! im praying for you!. now go get hammered
  7. good luck!!! dont even pick up a book today. i did the same thing last week and came out feeling like i passed.
  8. what is LGBTGQ????? and why do i feel like we're beating a dead horse here??
  9. Really?? they told you that?? hmm...thats kind of odd. you would think that they would want you to work there so that you might be able to see how they operate and maybe want to work there when you get your license. also, on the other hand, they might have been thinking that you are only wanting that job for the time being and once you get your RN license you'll bail. which would put them out of luck after training and putting money into you.
  10. this happened to me. the first time i took the exam i failed and had to quit my job. they offered me to stay as a CNA (which they really didnt have to) but i turned it down to enable myself to focus on the NCLEX. also, i think if you're out of work it sometimes makes it harder to focus on studying because you have TOO MUCH TIME on your hands. i hope nobody takes their time lightly. good luck:typing:yeah:
  11. I kept telling myself this mantra when i was studying to take it a second time... if you go in thinking like an RN, you'll come out feeling like one... so thats what I did. CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYBODY WHO PASSED. AND if you havent taken it yet, dont worry, you'll be fine too.
  12. my dude! good luck, take your time on the exam, and dont over think it. that was my downfall the first time and i had to try to correct that the second time around. it worked. oh and positive vibes. if you go in there thinking like an RN, you will definitely leave feeling like one... GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY. Y'ALL WILL MAKE IT:up:
  13. whew! i just found out i passed!!!!
  14. are SATA's considered higher end questions???
  15. i didnt! but my last question was a SATA!! who gets that???!!!!
