Per the request of janina08 I've started the April NCLEX takers support group. When do you take it? What are you using to study? Would anyone like to review any of the systems/meds that he/she feels weakest on? Let's keep each other in our prayers and good thoughts as we go through one of the biggest experiences of our lives. :)
hi to all! im going to take ym exam on saturdAY.. i did saunders b 4th edition and cd questions...i have 5 days more to go i feel exhausted, anxious.....tired...did u guys feel this way b4 d exam ? do i still need to study?pls advise
God bless and Good luck to you Rose143!
We are in the same boat my dear, I am anxious as well. I am just thinking the success of those who are already passed the test specially who in our April Support group. They are our INSPIRATION to us, if they can do it, we can do it as well..
Cheer up Chichimitchi,I am sure you passed. By looking other posts I came to the conclussion that the more SATA's you are having in the NCLEX the better your performance is being? I know there are a lot of urban legends around the test, but for some reason this makes a little sense to me.
Any way, relax and tell us you passed on wednesday
I only had 5 SATA and passed.... I don't know if it has to do with the number of SATA... BUT based on the overall look of your questions, Chichi, I also believe you passed!

hi OR2CA! i used that book also and i got 63%. Im pretty sure you are ready to take the exam. just read the rationales carefully. i took mine apr11 and im waiting for the results. oh God! i hope i pass. this is my 2nd time and got 77-78 qs with 5 or more SATA, 1 drag and drop and a lot of who to see first. im just hoping i'll make it this time.
Good luck to your exam... hope we can make it :)
hey guys.. so i just got out of the testing site literally like an hour ago and here is what i had:75 qs total
13 SATA
6 math (harder than i expected)
around 10 drugs
the rest were prioritization, pt teaching, infection control
had a lot of DM qs but no other endocrine
no herbal meds
so the wait is on.. this is the worse part.. hopefully i passed.. if u guys have any questions dont hesitate to ask me
:uhoh3:
I had a similar arrangement of questions even though I was taking the NCLEX-PN and stopped at 85. You are the right, the wait sucks!
thank you all for the encouragement.. hope u guys are right that i passed.. im really trying to be positive but u know how that it also for those taking it, all i can say it please dont reschedule anymore.. just take the stupid test and get it over with, i dont think that i couldve prepared any differently for this test and wish wouldve taken it sooner, so guys dont reschedule..

Hmm. From what I've seen here in the forums, I think you passed! So, CONGRATS IN ADVANCE!!!
I'VE GOT THE FEELING YOU PASS MY DEAR!I read the most recent posts, I am starting to have the fear factor, Oh my..8 days to go!:redbeathe:redbeathe:redbeathe:bugeyes:
7 days for me...:uhoh21:
I took the NCLEX-PN today. The test ended at 85 Qs. I know thats the minimum for the NCLEX-PN and the minimum for NCLEX-RN is 85. I had a lot of SATAs! Two math calculations. I feel a little nauseated, but I will wait and see and hope for the best. Some questions I felt very confident, others not so much. Let's pray for the best. Thanks for the encouragement and support!:):heartbeat:heartbeat:))
Good luck, honey!! I hear ya on the nauseated part. I haven't even taken it and I feel nauseous. lol
hi guys, has anyone used the Kaplan NCLEX-RN Strategies book? I tried the 180 questions from the CD just now and I got 66%. Do you think I'm ready to test on friday??? Please advise:)
The first time I took it, I got a 61%. That was about a month and a half ago. I just took it again today and I got a 74%. Not sure what that means, but I do know that I knew some of the rationales without even waiting for them. *shrug* The one thing that frustrates me about me is that I KEEP CHANGING MY ANSWERS BECAUSE I THINK THAT ANOTHER ONE LOOKS BETTER THAN THE ONE I KNOW IS RIGHT!!! ARRRRRRRGH!! It sucks. :'(

With 5 days to go, I would review lab values and some meds and maybe the most critical/acute diseases that are most common. Also, the contact, droplet, airborne, etc. precautions. But remember, the day BEFORE the NCLEX, NO MORE STUDYING! I'm taking THAT advice to heart. *sigh*
you april group are awesome...reall did studied hard.... you'll make it just like the rest....cheer up....God is good.
Amen! God IS good!
