Nursing Students NCLEX

Hello everyone,

I decided to start a thread for those taking nclex in april 2009 so we can support and encourage each other. Please share your thoughts, fears, anything.....What you are using to prepare etc.

This will be my second time taking nclex. First time (nov 12, 2008), i had 75 questions....felt horrible when i found out i did not pass. I made a study plan and promised myself to stick to it and not procastinate, gave myself 6 wks of studying. I am studying saunders 4th ed for content review, doing questions from saunders cd and nclex 3500. I plan to re-take nclex on april 1st, 2009. I am hoping for the best for all of us yet to pass nclex.

I took my exam this morning after an almost completely sleepless night!!! I was so nervous before I sat down but once I did, I just got to work. It turned off at 75 questions (please tell me that's a good sign even though I know it means nothing ;) ) and I know I am sworn to secrecy about what my exam entailed exactly but I will say I got 10 SATA. Scary! I don't know what to think but I am so relieved even the proctor commented on it after I was done-- haha!

Well, now the waiting game...good luck to you all!!! :redbeathe

good luck to all of us ... im super scared ... but i really need to take it soon ... i want to help my husband with bills ...

this will be my second time ... the first time i took nclex rn was aug2006, got super depressed ... and now i feel like i have forgotten all that i learned from school ...

i am also scared because i am doing suzzane's plan. i dont want to disappoint her ... i dont want to be the first one to fail using her plan ... huhuhu ... i really wish we can pass this exam ...

right now just think positive. i am sure suzzane will not be disappoint. i am taking my test may4th. i feel i am not ready, but i am still going to take this test. i have been study for the past 4 months now. i am scared and depressed right now but i will try my best to think positive. i am sure with the study that we did and God on our side things will be alright

i took mine this morning.. shut off at 75. don't feel real good about it, but it is out of my hands now.

i started at 8:00, finished by 9:05. hope to get results tomorrow (we have quick results). hope to have good news.:idea::idea:

wat did u encounter??? was it really hard???

CAN SOMEBODY tells me what they had encountered on the exam???

When you sing up to take the exam(I am trying for my third time) they ask you

to not share the contents of the exam.It is an honor code of sorts...

When you take the exam you agree to this..

Also my understanding is that the questions bank contains many questions

and no two testers get the same type of questions.

The exam covers everything and your exam can be totally different to the person next to you. Best thing to do is concentrate on answering questions and get used to how the NCLEX works.

thanks everyone... Now I know how the NCLEX works... thanks 4 d idea...

I wanted to take my test in April. I thought that I would get my ATT in the beginning. Turns out that they sent it to an inactivated school email account. I just called them today and they sent my ATT to the right email address. I've been studying randomly on my weak areas. First read the Comprehensive Saunders book for 6 weeks. Did questions from the Saunders Q&A 4th edition since the end of March. Since the 1st of April, I've been waiting for my ATT and while that was going on, I did alot of studying on weak content. Now I'm just studying and without structure so although I feel like I am studying, I didnt really look forward to anything except wait for this ATT, now I dont know if I'm prepared. Should I continue studying or should I schedule the exam now?

Hi Everyone,

I took my California NCLEX-RN last April 22, 2009. I am still waiting for my results. My computer stopped at 99 questions. God willing, I will pass. I had this exam a couple of times already. I used the Hurst Review online, Hurst Reviews NCLEX-RN , and the Prioritization, Delegation, and Assignment by Linda La Charity.

Have a great day everyone!:)

What is 10 SATA?
