Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Hello everyone,

I decided to start a thread for those taking nclex in april 2009 so we can support and encourage each other. Please share your thoughts, fears, anything.....What you are using to prepare etc.

This will be my second time taking nclex. First time (nov 12, 2008), i had 75 questions....felt horrible when i found out i did not pass. I made a study plan and promised myself to stick to it and not procastinate, gave myself 6 wks of studying. I am studying saunders 4th ed for content review, doing questions from saunders cd and nclex 3500. I plan to re-take nclex on april 1st, 2009. I am hoping for the best for all of us yet to pass nclex.

Don't feel that way......... I used to get low scores on all the different programs i have, and my friends would tell me their scores and were higher than mine..... i used to feel stupid but you know what you know what you know and DO NOT let those scores stop your from getting what you want....... keep focus on your goal and you will be ok......;)

Good luck :icon_roll

thank you soo much! i really hope soo i can make it... coz all my cousins already passed, and i hope i will too.. so now the stress plus the pressure..huhuh:cry: but God is good! i have faith in Him... im trying my best to set my focus straight eventhough there are tons of distractions and problems... really hope so.. please pray for me...:crying2:

hi, when you failed your NCLEX with 265 questions, do you encounter a lot of SATA , drugs, and computation. I took mine today answering 265 questions , about 30 SATA's , 5computations, 50+ drugs , prio, triage and delegation. I am so worried that maybe I will fail. thanks

I did have a large number of SATA and about 6 calculation questions and the rest were random care questions, I only remember having maybe 2 psych questions and no OB. Good luck and I have faith that you can soon write RN!!!!!:redbeathe

hi debrn. i took my exam last april21,2009..no result yet coz i dont have a ssn.. I got all 265 questions. got 10 SATA, 1 drag and drop,3 calculations, lots of meds and prioritization questions.. I dont know if i pass.. i find it so hard.. i answered my last question incorrectly. im so positive that im not gonna pass.

Well I just wanted everyone to know I re-took my nclex for the third time,

and I just found out I passed. It was a different experince for me then the last two times.

The 1st time I took the test, 2006 I had all the questions 265, the second time 2006 I had 156 questions,

I really thought I passed, I was so heartbroken I failed I quit nursing and began to work in a holistic

health practice..but I did use all my nursing skills in this practice, taking a health history & evaluating

patients health histories, and looking at all the allopathic medications the patients had been prescribed.

But my state has been experincing a terrible economic state and I lost 85% of my patients, the health practice closed and I needed to make a decision. So I decided to take the test again,

I studied for four months, basically re-learning the lessons of nursing school,

I used all the books, saunders 4th edition, kaplan, medications decks of cards, on-line sites..

I went into the test with no expectations, and had 105 questions,

BUt I passed, and I am 46 years old, so much for my old brain

Don't give up, and believe in yourself

OK so now I need to go to my first job interview in many years...LOL:nurse:

Peace
