hi everyone. im new to the board. ive just started reading people's posts a few days ago, and im starting to get really nervous about nursing school. im (hopefully) starting a bsn program in the fall, and i expect to do quite a bit of studying, but it seems like everyone is saying that no matter how much you study you will still probably not get very good grades. I was just wondering if anyone out there actually does get ok grades, or should i just expect to get c's? :uhoh21:
Don't worry about that discouraging message sweetie. I made flash cards and when I went to bed, I'd study them until I fell asleep.hi everyone. im new to the board. ive just started reading people's posts a few days ago, and im starting to get really nervous about nursing school. im (hopefully) starting a bsn program in the fall, and i expect to do quite a bit of studying, but it seems like everyone is saying that no matter how much you study you will still probably not get very good grades. If you really love nursing, even if you don't get high grades. What matters is that you are able to pass the courses and your NCLEX. After that, when you get your job, you'll aclimate to the job okay. And the longer you are in your position, the easier it will become for you. I wish you success.

I had an A every semester. Don't set yourself up to not get A's. If you are normally an A student and know how to study well, you can still get A's. It will take work, but it can be done. Good luck!
i graduated with a 4.0... my lowest class average was a 93. it was alot of hard work and i worked full time while in nursing school.... i drove myself and my family beyond crazy. i just put myself in the mindset that i would not settle for anything less than an A. i also prayed alot before a test. :)
Define "good". I was an honor student before nursing school and now have been consistently making B's. I was really close to an A in one of my classes last module but not close enough. I am striving for an A in both classes this module but will be more than satisfied with B's again. There are a few in my class who have A's and are exceptional students and a handful of those are also very good in clinical as well as classroom. Many more are in my grade range but the majority are hanging on with C's. It is not impossible to get good grades in nursing school but it's a lot harder than in other classes.
