Micro biology vs A&P difficulty?

  1. 0
    Hello everyone!

I'm a week from finishing up my Micro Biology class. I read a lot of posts on here about how difficult it was supposed to be. All those posts really scared me! Now, having gone through it, I want to let you all that haven't taken it know that it's not terribly difficult! I'd say it's up there with chemistry in difficulty level, but it's nothing to be scared about! I'll end up with a B in the course (not the best but ill take it!). I actually fell in love with the topic.

Now, for those of you that have taken both micro and A&P, I'm curious as to which is more difficult?

    Thanks everyone!

Hmmmm...In my opinion, I would say that A&P was more difficult. I loved A&P better than Microbiology though. A&P was just more interesting.

I completely agree with the PP. A & P is harder but much more interesting!

Really? That's shocking. All I've ever read on this site is that Micro and Stats are the two classes to worry about. Interesting. Thanks

I actually thought micro was harder but I did better in it than A&P so go figure.

I had so much fun in Micro. I loved growing my specimens and watching the little guys through my microscope! I had an A+ all the way through. I thought it was easy.

A&P was fun for me too, but more challenging, and took more practice to get the hang of it. The most difficult thing for me was not getting my origin/insertion mixed up. But I thought the material was fascinating and the cadavers were the icing on the cake. I received an A in Anatomy lec/lab, a B physiology lec, and an A is physiology lab.

But over all, A&P was more difficult than Micro.
But that could be because of the teachers. And my Micro class offered mostly multiple choice tests, and extra credit. And my A&P practicals were all timed + short answer tests, where spelling mattered.

I'm taking Micro and A&P this semester, and to me there's no comparison: Micro has been MUCH easier. It's been a complete walk in the park for me, and has been tons more interesting. Nothing beats learning about all the cool types of bacteria and viruses, and getting to grow things in lab. I've maintained an A in Micro much easier because it's been so fun to learn. A&P has been much harder, it's tons of memorization, and has been mentally exhausting.

I agree! However i find when it comes to memorization for a&p, I'm pretty good at that. It's just that we have tricky practicals and quizzes that one must be careful about. Besides that it was manageable. Gonna work hard to keep this A.

For me, A&P was harder than micro. I actually enjoyed A&P more, but I had to put a lot more work into it than I did for micro.

I thought that both classes were equal in difficulty. All fun though! I liked them better than chemistry.
