  1. oh i thought we're just automatically registered for the workshop hahah what date is it on btw?
  2. Thanks everyone for replying! :) I did indeed pick SJSU !
  3. Also did anyone else get a call and email saying that their response papers were not received yet? I mailed mine on Thursday and paid for next day delivery. I just tracked it and it said that it was delivered. My friend got the same email and call.
  4. :/ What sucks is that if you're transferring, you have to attend the transfer orientation and the only open date available is August 7th. You have to go to the orientation before registering for classes so I guess I'll be getting the last spots in classes? Or does anyone know if it's different for the nursing program?
  5. what are the two classes that need to be done?
  6. Hello ! So I'm in a pickle on deciding which nursing program to go to. I got accepted to the SJSU program for Fall 2013 and the SFSU program for Spring 2014. Here's the info I have on both. SJSU: 3 year program 94% nclex pass rate Tuition: $3.7k per year Preceptorship during senior year (I hear its good for experience and future jobs?) SFSU: 2 year program 88% nclex pass rate Tuition: $3.2k per year No preceptorship (I believe it was cut out of the curriculum) Higher rent Both I would have to move closer and for SFSU I would have to still take a Fall 2013 class there to maintain my admission status. Is there any other information I should consider? I don't know which school has better professors or clinicals. Thanks for all your opinions! :)
  7. AHH I GOT ACCEPTED. tears of confusion on what to do now.
  8. I saw a job posting on the John Muir career page for a CNA position in Walnut Creek! John Muir is an excellent hospital and if you can get your foot in, that would really help you later on!
  9. I would say continue working as a CNA. By the time you finish your LPN program, there won't be much time to find a job as one before going to the nursing program. Squishing everything in a year won't be good. Plus if you're worried about expenses I think taking a year to focus on making money would make you less stressed about it later on!
  10. A&P is fun! I think you'll realize that it isn't so scary once you start. And remember there are other classmates that can help you too! Make friends & efficient study groups and you'll be fine!
  11. :/ I didn't even get an email from SFSU. Don't know what that means... since if they already have the waitlist set up, they should also have the accepted one too.
  12. Ahh, why does the process take so long!
  13. I volunteer at a hospital in the recovery room! There's not much actual patient contact but we do get to wheelchair them to their cars. Sounded better than working at the gift shop or sitting at an info desk.
  14. Now all you have to do is relax and get a good nights sleep! The science portion was quite broad and I did the worst in that section. I ended up with a 88.9% on my TEAS ( Ahh so close to 90! )
