What's the one injury that bothers you no matter what?

Published

We all have that one injury we see that just bothers us. We can see so many different things yet there's one that is over the top. For me it's nails. My left nail was pulled up on my thumb yet not all the way to displace it. Gross.

For me it's nose! I can't stand anything nose related. Gives me major anxiety

When I was in labor/delivery it was 4th degree lacerations. I won't go into detail, but any L/D nurse knows what I am talking about......bad news.

I just hate loose, knocked out, bleeding gums/teeth. I don't even like to see my grand kids wiggle their lose teeth!

eye injuries or things to do with eyes (huge ulcer on eye, etc), and removal of toenails/nails or nails coming off...

Also we had a patient once who was in a motorcycle accident and his whole back was basically hamburger like. Doing the dressing changes was horrible even though we were heavily medicating him, he was young and minding it no matter how gentle we were :( :( I HATEEE motorcycles and that only further reinforced how I feel about them.
