What did you want to be when you grew up?

And did it have to do with nursing?

I had 3 things I wanted to be: A nurse, a scientist, and a special education teacher. I cannot remember a time in my life where I wanted to be something different.

I'm kind of all 3 :) I did a lot of work with special needs people as a nurse. The scientist part comes through with using your nursing judgement and trying to put the pieces together with the Dr. to make a clear diagnosis :) Also, I am attaining my degrees in Psychology and Sociology... social sciences...

A lot of nurses I speak with have wanted to be a nurse, teacher, or vet... So, I'm interested: What did you want to be (who knows, maybe I'll do a research paper on it... LOL)?

When i was a kid i wanted to be a doctor. When i finished Jr. high i wanted to become an architect/civil engineer but as lief would have it I became a nurse (and at some point considered pharmacy)

I am naturally artistically blessed.

I drew on everything!

My mom (an excellent artist) would not even get mad when she would open a book and found all the blank pages drawn on.

Classmates used to hand me reams of paper so I could make pictures for them.

This was cool until I got busted drawing naughty pictures in the 5th grade. :saint:

My teachers always had to talk to my mom about how I spent more time drawing than paying attention!

I was in Honors Art in high school.

My Art teacher looked me in the eye and said, "You better do something with your talent. I'll be really mad if I catch you bagging groceries 5 years from now!"

Well, he would not have caught me bagging groceries, but cleaning bums...

I fully meant to be an Art teacher, but I made a wrong turn at Albuquerque. :clown:

I still regret not following that path, to this day.
