Nurses Humor

Let's do something fun! Everybody on allnurses.com has a very interesting and unique username. What is the back story of your username? Mine is just like it states, "Life's a Journey!"

Not sure if I replied to this post before, as I see the OP was a long time ago.
I chose my screen name "vintage mother" because that's what I felt I was at the time I 1st considered pursuing a nursing degree.
I felt like an old mom choosing nsg as a 2nd career.
But now, I feel different. I should consider a new screen name.

I am a girl of many nicknames, including but not limited to tiger bean, bug lips, and Lulu Belle.
I think everyone can agree that lulu belle is the least weird, though I almost wish i went with Bug Lips.

I made the unfortunate choice to include my husband's name in many of my user names, years ago. The Internet was still fairly new then, and I was in love. Fast forward through a lot of years, a divorce, and my own last name, which is constantly mispronounced as "cannibal". I'm remarried, but kept my own name, so it just made sense to change it when I wandered back onto allnurses :-)

Pecas means freckles in Spanish. I was given the nickname about 15 years ago by some friends who teased me about the freckles I have across my nose. I'm beginning to wonder if I should change it to age spots now, since they're starting to blend together.

An awesome book that I read after graduating inspired me as a nurse and was the inspiration for my user name. The book is called...wait for it..."Becoming Nursey". Lol

It's a play on the word anonymous.

Mine covers my medical career, both as an EMT (the only one in our ambulance corps for 10 years) and as a nurse.

Mine comes from the latin doga, meaning a vessel. Because I'm an empty vessel, constantly being filled with information.
Wait, I just made that up.
